Rehitching Ceremony -- Wanna let your loved one know you're still committed? The Garden Grill also offers a "Rehitching Ceremony!" Scott Thomas, of PS Calculator fame, writes: When making a PS for any meal at the Land's Garden Grill restaurant, including the Ice Cream Social, tell the Cast Member making the PS to note you would like to be rehitched. When you check in at the Garden Grill make sure you mention it to both the CM at the podium and your server when getting seated. I don't want to spill the beans about the ceremony but it's a fun, quick way to add a little fun at WDW. Oh, and take a deep breath when kissing your bride/groom!"

I think they also do this during the ice cream social. THere is some more info that you could find under the restaurant boards. Good luck

DW and I did this two years ago on our anniversary. You tell them when you check in at the Garden Grill ( and yes they do it at the ice cream social). At some point during your meal a CM will come out and rehitch you. Ours was very loud, shouted to everyone that we were living in sin and needed to make it official. Had us stand up and proceeded to ask me "Do You?" and that is it. I said yes and he asked DW and she said "do I what", so he repeated louder. Once he pronounced us "Hitched" we had to seal it with a kiss while they counted to 100. Don't worry, they count to 10 and then to 100 by tens. Then they gave us a small cake for desert. It was great and Mickey stood in as best man, I mean mouse. If your DH embarasses easy, go for the early PS around 4pm and there isn't that many people in there or go late.

We did it a couple of yrs ago. It was fun!
oh they also give you a wedding cake (feeds abt 6) for dessert.
Go for it ! ***One caution though, was tough to make reservations for this back then. no one at disney dining seem to know of it. may of changed since (it has been a couple of yrs) but you may need to remind them at seating time that you want this.

We did this on our honeymoon in 99. We did not prearrange it. They had put that we were on our honeymoon in the computer and the CM's just came over and did it. We got a cake and a certificate signed by Mickey and Minnie. It was so neat. I have always wanted to get married at WDW and now my dh won't let me arrange a vow renewal because he says that we already did that (the rehitchin)

They do this also at the ice cream social (but you don't always get the cake then). But the ceremony & certificate are the same.

We did this on our last trip and it was fun. My DW surprised me with it just as I happened to be telling my daughter about it. I didn't realize I had to continue kissing DW while they counted to 100...I missed that part and stopped about halfway through. With this, I was chastised and we had to do it again. I had fun, though I gave the CM a hard time when I kept questioning why she said "this union was forever".:p

I asked the CM about this when I made my PS for the ice cream social. He didn't know a thing about it..put me on hold to ask around..when he came back he still had never heard of it! When I call back to confirm my PS's I am going to make sure it is noted on there whether they know what it is or not!
