Re-Hitching Ceremony??

Can anyone tell me more about what this is?? I read some posts about the Garden Grille having some type of little wedding ceremony. Does it have to be on your anniversary or can it be anytime? How do you reserve it?? I just called to make my priority seating for the Garden Grille for dinner and asked the CM on the phone and he had no idea what I was talking about. He actually put me on hold but its been almost ten minutes already so I had to hang up. Anyone knows anything about this, please let me know. Thanks!

yes! we have done this twice and it does not have to be on your actual date. it is not surprising the CM did not know about it. seems none of them do! anyway, when you make PS just ask to have it noted on the reservation. and be sure to mention it when you check in for the meal. the wait person officiates the ceremony, and sometimes the characters are the honor attendants. we have never been so lucky. once we got a cake, but the last time no cake. you also receive a re-hitchin' certificate. and you get to kiss to the count of 100, like this: 11,2,3,4,5,67,8,9,10,20,30,40,50,60,70,80,90,100! have a fun time!

I requested this last year and the CM had no clue what I was talking about. I told her that I had read about it on the internet, so she put me on hold for a few moments, came back on and said, "well, I'll be! We DO offer a re-hitching ceremony!". She told me that she had called the Garden Grille directly and they informed her that they DO have a re-hitching ceremony.

We had a wonderful waiter who "officiated" the ceremony. We were lucky... on the day we went, the Garden Grille was not crowded so Mickey was the "best mouse" and Chip & Dale stood with me while hubby and I got re-hitched. We got a yummy cake with whipped cream frosting (boy, was that delicious!).

Do yourself a favor and book this! If the CM doesn't know what you're referring to, ask him to call the Garden Grille directly for more information.

I just did this in March. It's kind of embarrassing and only lasts about 5-10 mins. They get you to stand up infront of everyone while a CM shouts out that you are getting rehitched and says a few other things. Then they ask you to kiss to the count of 100...by ten's...LOL Afterwards they give you a little certificate with your name on it and a small cake. That's it!

Anyways, most CRO/dining people taking ressies don't know anything about this because it is not in their computer sysytem. It is just a little something the Garden Grill does. So when checking in for your PS ressie, just mention you'd like this little ceremony done.

We are going there on our honeymoon.

We were planning on going there for the Ice Cream Social and my question is---Can you get re-hitched at the ice cream social and if so, how much extra does it cost?

Yes, you CAN get rehitched at the ice cream social. We have reservations on 11/30. Make the CM call the restaurant directly if they don't know what it is.

It doesn't cost anything extra. Remind the folks at the reservation desk in the restaurant when you enter...
