Re-entry to parks if stay off-site?

good morning! We are thinking of staying off-ste at BWPPI or another hotel right across the street with park-hopper passes. Will we be allowed to leave the parks for a mid-day break at the non-DIS hotel? TIA!!

We always stay at one of the hotels across the street and often go back to the hotel for a mid-day break (usually only a 5 min walk!) We have never had a problem getting back in. I think the only time there is ever a problem is when you go at really busy times (like Christmas day) and the park gets to capacity and they close the park to new entries. Otherwise, you should not have any problems getting back in

Of course you can go to a non-Disney hotel for a break, and then come back to the park of your choice later in the day. Just make sure everyone gets a hand stamp on their way out of the park before you go back to the hotel for a break.

Thank you!! I think that makes my decision then, off-site it is!! I'll save about $700 bucks!

By the third day of our recent trip, you could still see the original stamp I got on the first day, and I did shower each of the successive days. My kids went swimming and theirs still showed up that same evening.

Those stamps don't come off for a couple days, even if you go swimming.

Hrm, they must be using a better ink than when I was a kid. I remember leaving one day midday to have lunch (my family would always pack a cooler and keep it in the back of the car and then we'd have a picnic lunch to save money) and I rinsed off my hands. When I got my stamp checked, it was only half there and I was told to be more careful next time (this was back in the early 90s).
