Sorry to ask such a personal question but can someone give me an idea of how much spending money i will need. I dont really buy that bits from the parks so its just the fun stuff like food and drinks. any ideas?

Thanks

Emma

Me again, Emma....

I believe that I budgeted $10 for breakfast, $15 for lunch, and around $30 for dinners that weren't included in the DIS-Con activities. And a little extra for meals, activities, etc. that I knew would cost a bit more. By the way, I didn't spend nearly the amount of money I budgeted for food. Most of the time, I can get away with 2 meals a day anyhow. But keep me away from the Krispy Kremes! I could eat a dozen of those myself. ::insert oinking noises:: :D

when you are budgeting..don't forget to include park admissions they are not included in the convention price.

With the 2 of us last year...not counting the park passes...we spent around $700, but we did hit the outlets stores on the last day :)

Hi, Pixie Power!

Steve and Pat are right. But with a credit card, you can really go overboard.

First, I try to get the best resort rate that I can and the Dolphin Resort had great rates.

Tickets, as Patrick said.

Have you gone to the menus on the DIS to get an idea of how much everthing costs, foodwise.

That should give you an idea.

Don't forget airfare and transportation.

See you there.

Ray

Don't have any more to add to that, but I just wanted to say
I LOVE RAY'S NEW CLIP ART!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!:D :D :D :D :D :D :D Great job, Patrick!! You are the best! :)

RAY! YOUR BACK! YEAH!

By the way, I did not spend a lot of money at DISCON II. I think it depends on what you want to do. A lot of the meals were mini meets so you could look at the menu ahead of time and make a decision if it fit into your budget. However, most of the time was spent just going to parks!

Emma, cute clipart. :)

About spending.....I, too, did NOT spend as much as I thought I would on meals. I was happily surprised. In fact, and if anyone else felt this way feel free to chime in, we didn't have a whole lot of time to eat!!! :earseek: I'd say 1/3 of the time I would be starving by the time dinner time came around!

Depending on what meals are included in the convention, I will only plan 1 sit-down meal per day......and plan on 'snacking' the rest of the time. :)

One more thing (SSB, are you listening? ;) )...Tubbi's was very handy at ALL hours of the day! :) They were always open and waiting with my water bottle and late-night snacks! :D

Actually, I do have something to add. :) ;) I buy a lot of souveniers. I am a souvenier junkie! :D But I try to hold off buying those souveniers until I get to Downtown Disney. Then I use my American Express card and get 15% off purchases made at the World of Disney store and a few others. But, I agree-we didn't spend as much on food as I would have thought. A few of our meals were included in the events price. For instance, the day we did the Grand Floridian tea (which was an extra payment if you wanted to do that), we didn't really eat dinner-we had a dessert party at Fantasmic. I was still full from the tea, so I just had a few desserts and that held me over. There were a few of us that did that. :) I didn't eat breakfast either because I wanted to save room for the tea. So I only paid for one meal that day. :)
