My BF and I are having a discussion about what can and cannot cross the border on an airplane, and for the life of me, I cannot find the restrictions online. We are wondering what liquids we can bring onto the plane, and also what we can pack in our suitcases. I have heard from people that Shampoo and Conditioner cannot be packed, as well as liquid laundry detergent on our regular luggage (not carry on). Need to know if this is true...Anyone know?

I think what you are looking for is the 3-1-1 page from TSA, http://www.tsa.gov/311/index.shtm.

3-1-1 for carry-ons = 3 ounce bottle or less; 1 quart-sized, clear, plastic, zip-top bag; 1 bag per passenger placed in screening bin. One-quart bag per person limits the total liquid volume each traveler can bring. 3 oz. container size is a security measure.

Almost anything goes for checked baggage.
