What are the chances this and the making of me will be open when we are there in Nov 27-dec7? Thanks Kathy

The "Wonders of Life" Pavillion is no longer even shown or described on the MAPS of Epcot.

I'd say you won't be seeing it this time (or ever, for that matter).

Too bad.
It was very special.

Well that's too bad! I had found it on tourguide mike so I thought i'd come over and ask...it just stated "during peak seasons". Bummer it sounded cute!

We were there last summer and during the middle of July the pavilion wasn't open. We were there the November/December the year prior (2004) and I think they were open (I could be wrong). I know I have seen them many times in the past.

I really hope they decide to re-do the pavillion and add something.

What is the deal with this pavillion?

Used to be one of our favorites. Buzzy, Body Wars, kids loved doing the baseball/golf/tennis thing where you got tips from the pros, snack stand had a good chicken sandwich & it was always a more laid back place to eat.

I know it's been this way for ages (we visit a few times a year & I can't remember when the last time was that we were inside) but I wish they'd do something. I mean if they were going to close it down why didn't the use that site for M:S & leave Horizons alone?

The pavillion is officially closed. It had its last hurrah over Christmas this year (I think it was over Christmas) and it's finished now (bye-bye Cranium Command :guilty: ). Rumor is that Disney is looking for Dupont to sponsor a new pavillion, but no one knows if it will deal with health or be something completely different.

I think the main thing that happened is the pavilion lost its sponsor a few years ago. Back in 2002, the last time it was open while we were there, there was harldly anybody there... all the attractions were walk ons. If Disney had been able to find a sponsor for the pavilion as is I am sure it would be opened right now.

Look at Sapceship Earth... they lost the sponsor for that and now when getting off the ride you just enter a darkened building and out the exits (this was in April last year). I am pretty sure that if SE were not the focal point for Epcot that the ride itself would now be running seasonally.

Spaceship Earth does have a sponser now - Siemens. They are currently working on adding a post-show area and on spiffing up the ride and possibly updating a few of the scenes.

Oh yeah, I forgot about that.

one of the websites, (I think it was the official disney website) has the Wonders of Life open April 1-April 30, 2006. the only 2 attractions listed to be open are "making of Me" and Cranium Command. For those of you who will be there then.... Hope it's true!!!

I just checked this.
What it apparently means is that these attractions are CLOSED for the month of April.
I doubt that this means they are open, although it is VERY confusing.

If you go here:

and keep changing the MONTH, the same message appears:

* Cranium Command: Open Seasonally [March 19, 2006 to March 31, 2006]
* The Making of Me: Open Seasonally [March 19, 2006 to March 31, 2006]

------------------

* Cranium Command: Open Seasonally [April 1, 2006 to April 30, 2006]
* The Making of Me: Open Seasonally [April 1, 2006 to April 30, 2006]

* Cranium Command: Open Seasonally [September 1, 2006 to September 30, 2006]
* The Making of Me: Open Seasonally [September 1, 2006 to September 30, 2006]
