Just curious if there will be any fireworks viewable from DTD on the 4th of July? I also can't seem to recall if there's outdoor seating at any of the restaraunts there. I seem to recall Cap'n Jacks, and Wolfgang Puck Express and I think McDonald's (haha) having outdoor seating. We're staying on site and arriving on the 4th, but not planning on starting our park festivities until the 5th. ANY suggestions would be welcome!1

DTD has great fireworks on the 4th , they close the water traffic down early in the day , they stop running between POR , POFQ , OKW and SSR as well as close the marina at DDT . The past few years after seeing the fireworks at the MK or EPCOT we would go back to POR and sit on one of the benches and watch the fireworks from DDT and we saw all the high ones and there were alot of them . As to the best place to view them at DTD there may be others who can answer that better . Have a great time  I will be doing this again this year :woohoo:

We'll be at T-rex on the 4th and were thinking of heading to the poly to watch the fireworks but if they are having them at DTD maybe we'll just stay put.

If you were to go to Poly on the 4th you need to be staying there or have dinner reservations to view fireworks from the beach and they use wrist bands to check the guests . The fireworks are later at Epcot . They start at MK then HS then by Epcot and then DTD . Enjoypixiedust:

DTD had fireworks at 10:30 on July 4, 2009. The show used to be good. I don't know if it still is.

Do you need a wrist band to watch the fireworks on the 3rd? It is the same show as the 4th.

To best of my knowledge no but there may be others that can better answer that :confused3, I'm always at EPCOT on the 3rd :)

Thank you for the info! Looking forward to being at DTD, the best part is we've told the kids that we aren't going to make it to Disney this year. HAHAHAHA!

pixiedust:Good luck with that on tried for 12 years to tell them we were not going this year :sad2:never worked . I am now going alone or so I thought and my DS and DDIL will be there for part of the time :thumbsup2 . Have fun watching at DTD pixiedust:

There is no McDonald's at DTD anymore. So if you go there for the outdoor seating, it will be very, very outdoor.

So are the DTD fireworks still on this year? I haven't heard much about them. As for watching from the Poly beach, we have ressies at Ohana's for 5:30pm. Will we be able to get on the beach? If not, I think we will just go to DTD. I would like to know though, since this will be our last night there and I don't want it to be ruined by not knowing what to do.

I have not heard of any changes to the fireworks schedules for the fourth t, as far as eating early at the POLY I would think that would qualify you to watch the fireworks from the beach . I would call guest services and ask if you can get the wrist band and come back later . If not the fireworks at DTD are great , you will see all the fireworks from the surrounding areas as well as Disney property and DTD fireworks are usually last .:goodvibes

Wristband? At the Polynesian? I think you may have to show a room ID for the resort to show you are a paid guest at the resort.

HELP! Per my call to Disney today with rep.....that didn't seem to locked in....stated that there are NO fireworks scheduled for DTD on the 4th.

Not sure as to what we should do. As stated before, not planning on going to parks on the 4th, but we may HAVE to!

Have a Magical Day,
