We were on the 4/15 Wonder, but never received anything about a Castaway Club membership number. Are there forms to complete.....are they mailed to us? How long after cruise is completed before that happens?
Thanks,
Carol

They used to send a card, but I don't believe they still do that. You are automatically in the club once you have taken your first cruise. If you are booking again, just ask them what your castaway number is.

we sailed in march, 2004, and haven't received anything yet, either. can someone tell me, what are the perks of being a member? special privileges? discounts? thank you! :wave2:

The 1st time we cruised DCL considered us Castaway Club members. We were invited to the reception, received the pins & towel.
We never had to signup but we did have to have a cruise cancelled.

macbaby,

I would definitely call DCL reservations and have them note that you will be sailing two weeks prior. Give them both reservation numbers so they can be linked. That way you will get the stateroom gift, a nice beach towel, a pin and a invite to the Captains Cocktail party for repeat cruisers. Only place I know of that gives away FREE drinks, nice finger food also.

Have fun and enjoy and watch those days click by.

Also as far as receiving info from DCL and a member card, usually the only person receiving an offical card is the lead person on the first cruise. I've even heard that sometimes people don't get them because they have booked through a TA and that info was never released to DCL, home address, etc. All info went to TA.

We just returned from our second DCL cruise. Although we had included the fact that we were Castaway Club members on our reservation, we had not gotten our beach towel or pins in our cabin. We asked the cabin steward and he took care of the rest. The next day the towel and pins were waiting in our cabin and the invitation to the cocktail reception was waiting as well. So, if you have cruised with DCL before but didn't receive your towel, just inquire.

(and yes, a few months after our first cruise, we received info about the Castaway Club in the mail).

I never recieved a card, either. When I was getting ready to book a new cruise last week, I called the castaway club reservations line to ask for my numbers. 1-800-449-3380. She gave me my member numbers and said she would send out cards. I'll let you know if they arrive.

That's exactly what I did last week. I called the special 800 number for Castaway Club members, told them I had just cruised on 4/17 Eastern and they gave me all our Castaway Club members and booked our repo cruise as CC members.

Thanks for the info everyone...I'll use the 800 number to give them a call to get our number.
Thanks again!

::MickeyMo DH and I are CC members and are going on a family reunion Magic/Eastern cruise July 10. My grandson will be on this sailing and he is a repeat cruiser w/ DCL, but is a minor. Will he get a gift as well as us ?::MinnieMo

You only get one gift per stateroom, no matter how many persons are CC members. We usually sail with my self, wife daughter and grandson and all are repeat cruisers and we only get one set of gifts each time. One towel and two pins.

We just rotate who gets what each time. share and share alike.

We sailed on the Magic on 3/6 and I just received my CC card about 10 days ago. I am the only one that got one, my ds and hubby haven't received theirs, yet.

KennyK...my Grandson will be in a separate stateroom from us.This time he'll be with his Mom and Dad ? Do you think he'll get a towel ?

I'm wondering if there is a cocktail party on a 3 night cruise for CC members? It seems to me that there's no time for one. On 4 night?

Magic Cruiser,

He should have his own CC membership number. All of my kids have one. If his parents don't have their own, it couldn't hurt for you or your TA to call DCL and reference his membership number. He may not get the gift, since he is not the lead person on the reservation, but it's definitely worth a try.

Magic Cruiser,

Is your grandson a repeater cruiser, how about his mom and Dad. If he is the only one, I would make sure you get his CC # from DCL and have it noted on the reservation for his stateroom. And I'm pretty sure he'll get a towel and pins. I'm no expert but that is what I think their policy is.

As far as CC cards, Since the 4 of us from my family always sail together, and my name has always been the lead name on the ressie, I am the only one to get a card even though all of us have cc #'s. I called DCL to make sure just in case.

Been on a three day and yes there is a cc party . They fit it in some place, don't remember where though.
