What happens if you only have a 50.00 balance on vacation and then a code comes out and you have a chance to save a couple hundred dollars hopefully?? At this point can you only upgrade or will they refund your CC difference or what??

i believe that providing you're outside the cancellation timeframe AND there are promo room available,
Disney will credit the difference back to you.

Somebody correct me if I'm wrong.

We had a room only @ CR last Oct booked AAA (that I booked thru CRO), an AP rate came out that was less. We did have to cancel & rebook. We only had 1 night's deposit pre-paid.

Not sure about pkgs or if a TA books though.

They one time I did this the CM asked me if I wanted a refund or it left on the reservation so I could charge on my room key.

Nice! I wouldn't mind having money already credited to room key when I got there

That happened to us once and we had the credit available to spend on our room key. We weren't asked if we wanted the difference back but I think it was under 100.00 so maybe that's why.

Last year when the Visa code was released to the general public I called and applied it to our reservation. We were staying at the GF and I had already paid off our trip. They refunded us $650. I had the option of using it to charge to our room or have it deposited back into our account.
