Hey!

It's been a really long time since I've posted on here and it's almost the anniversary of my move in date for my fall program last year, wow!

So I did my first program during Fall 2011. It was an amazing experience, but I had to leave early (I was not terminated) because I had a series of unfortunate but serious illnesses that caused me to call in multiple times. It was just extremely bad luck and I was so sad to have to leave, but my family, my managers, and I decided that I should focus on getting and staying well and then hopefully come back at a later date. My managers had told me I would have rehire status, but did not tell me if there was a restriction. We left on relatively good terms and they were sympathetic although of course it was frustrating to them having me miss work for doctor appointments and such (I was at a small location at a resort).

I absolutely loved being able to participate in the program and would love the opportunity to do it again for the wonderful experience and training it gives you and because I hope to advance with the company at some point/PI/part or full time. I just graduated undergrad though, but I plan to begin in the spring of 2013 a Masters of Hospitality Industry Studies (with a concentration in Lodging Operations and Brand Strategy). I aim to apply to the Fall Advantage 2013 Program.

I know that the program and its educational components are technically designed for undergrads, but I also know I had met multiple older adults (25 plus) during traditions that were in less-related graduate programs or only a single credit class at a community college participating in the college program. So I am wondering if anyone knows if being a graduate student would hinder my chances in being re-accepted? Also do you think being a graduate student for a masters in the specific hospitality fields that relate to WDW help my chances of being accepted into the lodging (hospitality or concierge) role?

Also, just a few more questions, would the fact that in my last program, during the periods of my serious illnesses, the fact that I inevitably had multiple points and one reprimand on my record card hurt my chances of getting rehired as well? Do those points/reprimand carry over into my new program if I were to be re-accepted? Do I have to apply in a different manner than before, or is it the same application process?

Oh, and I noticed in another thread that someone was asking if they should just try to apply to be part-time or full-time with the company, is that more worth it for someone already graduated from college or no because I specifically want to work in hospitality?

Thanks so much everyone! I appreciate any insight/experience sharing and answers to my questions!
