1. can AP be purchased at Disney stores?

2. I live in MA (5% sales tax) would they sell it at 5% or FL 6.5%?

3. If I buy it in NH will I pay any sales tax?

I only care because we will be buying atleast 5 of them. It could be worth the drive.

Thanks for any info.

I bought mine at the Disney Store in Dallas. You may have to talk with more than one CM however. I had called the day before to ask and was told they had them. When I went in the next day, I picked up two park hoppers off the display rack and told the CM I also needed one Annual Pass. She told me I would have to buy the AP at the park as they were not allowed to sell them in the stores. I told her I had been told just the day before that they had them. She rather cattily told me that she had worked there three years and they had never sold Annual Passes. Thank goodness another CM walked up to the counter just then. The second CM told her they had them locked up in the office and she would go get one. The first CM was rather embarrassed and said she had been there three years and no one had ever told her they sold AP and she had no idea how many people she had told they had to buy them in the parks. They charged me the 6.5% Florida tax rate and when I questioned it, she said they were required to charge Florida tax since that's the only place I would be using them. The AP was $406. plus some change I believe (with tax). You get a hard plastic voucher and then exchange it for a paper like ticket when you get it validated at any of the parks or DTD. It is good for one year from the time you get it validated at the parks.

Bought two APs in NH and two in MA - got the Florida tax on all of them.

Any WDW passes sold anywhere in the US will have Florida sales tax charged.

APs went up in price a couple of weeks ago; they are now $420.68 for adult passes and $357.84 for child passes. Premium APs are $548.49 and $466.49, repectively.

Most Disney Stores sell AP vouchers, but they all keep them locked up, so you may have to ask for a manager to get one.

Keep in mind that if you are flying into Orlando, you can easily go to the Disney store in the MCO terminal to buy APs. The EarPort store only sells new, activated APs, however; they cannot activate a voucher. Since there is no discount for buying APs ahead of time, buying them at the airport Disney store will not cost you anything more, and also solves the dilema of where to get the voucher activated.

Thanks everyone I knew it was to good to be true.
