So I'm pretty sure there's a way to do this, but I want to make sure it's possible before I (hopefully) carry out my plan next week. I just want to figure out what the "best practice" would be for this.
We should hopefully be having our points loaded to our contract SOON, and plan on renting some of them out (we have banked '21 points and current '22 UY points) as well as making a reservation to use ourselves using '23 UY pts.
BUT
I'm kind of assuming that I'm going to end up with a few "leftover" points ('22 UY) that I would bank into the next UY, which I would like to be able to apply to the reservation we are using for ourselves. I'm assuming this is going to be a "use chat or call" type of thing.
Will they have to cancel/rebook to do this? If this is the case, would I be better off making a partial reservation, and then an additional single night to get the banked '22 pts used for (so I'm not "risking" the whole reservation?) Or could I just do it that way by cancel/rebooking the room myself, and then asking for the whole reservation to be "merged" into one stay? This reservation is going to be during a very high-demand time, and is already mostly sold out.
What is going to be the best way for me to do this?
