All,

I plan on making a 7-month reservation for a one-bedroom in Jambo for Concierge (my home resort is SSR). Do all these rooms overlook the Savannah? Or, do I need to also request a Savannah view?

I guess I should ask about the new building - will it have Concierge? If so, when should those rooms be available? In time for a late March '09 trip?

There are 3 one bedrooms that view the Sunset Savannah and 2 that face the pool. All 5 are components of 2 BR lockouts.

The new building (Kindani) will not have any concierge units.

Also, you should note that views are not guaranteed and the chances that your room will have Savannah view is not much. I've have stayed twice and neither time did I ahve Savannah view. I am hoping I will for December but am not sure of that.

Actually, you have a 60% chance of savannah view and 40% chance of pool view. The savannah view is not very good from the 6th floor, so I wouldn't worry about what view you get on concierge. If savannah view is important to you, don't book concierge - there's alot more availability for a savannah view (guaranteed) downstairs on the 5th floor without concierge.

I agree with wdw1972, if you really want savannah view, then don't book CL instead book a savannah view room. During my May trip, I had a savannah view room at AKV concierge level and to be honest, I think that I prefer the pool view. With all of the trees in that section of the sunset savannah, you are mostly looking down on the tops of trees.

Ignoring the view which was only OK, I loved staying at concierge level.

Do you have a back up reservation made? If not, I would do that. There are only 5 2 bedroom lock of units in concierge. I called at 9 am exactly a few days ago (11 month window) and by the time (9:08) the MS person booked the room it was gone. Good luck trying to reserve your room!
