RD - ToT or RnR

We are rope dropping HS tomorrow. We will have Genie+ and will hope to get SDD. Which should I rope drop RnR or ToT? Or is it really 50/50. If we are there really early we will try to RD SDD, as it’s one of our faves, but it’s been a busy couple days and I’m not sure we will feel like getting there 45 mins early! We are there for early morning hours. It’s been hard adjusting to the post FP+ era for me 🤪 I used to have this stuff down!

It will probably be a 50/50 split in the crowded heading that way. Personally I think we’d head to RnRC then ToT but no real reason why.

I'd also do RnR, it seems less reliable than ToT lately and like its lines are more consistently long.

Between the 2; we'd RD ToT and follow it up by RnR.

1: One side of ToT often breaks down, which really increases the wait time.

2: Less ppl. ride RnR, so in my head that means the line for RnR should stay lower longer 1st thing in the morning. - Nothing scientific about it, but it's always worked out for us with this belief.

I think I’d do RnRC first. What did you end up going with?

Agree with the others, it probably will be about a 50/50 split between the 2. Our last trip, 1 side of ToT was down for rehab, so that was the easy choice to RD as the line only got longer throughout the day. I would probably RD RnR as you can more likely get off that and get in line for ToT before the park officially opens.

We could generally get two back to back rides on RnRC and then two on ToT before waits on both picked up. RnRC waits would build faster, but that's when both ToT shafts were running.

ToT ended up being down, so we didn’t have any choice 🤪

I know I've hit all 3 toy story rides and still managed to get to ToT and RRC without much wait at all. All 5 within about 80 minutes. Usually with multiple rides on the later 2.

Whoops thought it was ToT vs RotR
I was under the impression that RotR often opens earlier than the 30 minute EE. So if you’re in front of the rope drop crowd, it’s possible to get into Galaxy’s Edge 40-45 minutes before official park open and RotR starts operating. It is a long ride (17 minutes?) but you’d still be able to go right to Millenium Falcon, doing that is 10-15 minutes and then go right to MMRR as offsite guests are just starting to shuffle in. The other rides don’t operate before EE official time. Has this changed?

Caveat - rides down occur often enough to make a back up plan,, and of course personal goals/preferences are important.
