RD on EMM day

So, unfortunately, no EMH for MK during our November visit. And I can’t justify the expense of EMM tickets.

But I was wondering if RD would be okay on a day with EMM. I would hope everyone who went to EMM had the chance to ride 7DMT to their heart’s content, leaving a decent chance for us to ride.

I know only people with bracelets can ride during EMM, but how early are rope-droppers let in to queue up? Or is it basically the same as any other day?

It's my understanding that they'll hold you back until 9 on EMM days, so you won't be able to queue until park opening. I've done EMM and people were not allowed back into Fantasyland until opening.

It's the same as any other 9am park opening day.

EMM is around 200 or so people so it's a very small group of folks, and yes, most flee to breakfast or other parts of the park at 9am.

FYI, in case you don't know this... the MK rope drop procedure for a 9am regular park opening is as follows:

Approx 7:45-8ish - gates open, guests are free to roam Main Street up to the Hub/Castle. Some shops are open, Starbucks is open, Main Street vehicles are often out, PhotoPass photographers are out. You cannot get past the "spokes" off the Hub.

A large group of MK rope droppers typically line up (ETA, "congregate" is a better word) at the bridge towards Tea Cups as that is generally the quickest route to 7DMT.

Approx 8:55am - the Let the Magic Begin welcome show will be on the castle stage, after which they "drop the ropes" at the various Hub spokes and you can make your way to wherever you'd like at that point. CMs will slowly walk that large group that had gathered at the bridge towards Tea Cups to 7DMT. Your only real competition for the ride at that point will be the BOG PPO folks who will have also been held from riding until right around 9am. They will in all likelihood already be in the queue by the time the larger regular rope drop crowd arrives.

Hope that helps!
