my window opens tomorrow morning...

I know there will be zero FP for FEA in the morning, but will for afternoon, which kinda works as we are finishing our day at norway around 530pm.

I had originally booked a soarin FP in my plan for the morning and was going to RD Frozen, but should I just get an afternoon FEA fastpass and RD Soarin?

Insight?

I should add that I am doing 2 full days at Epcot and the 2nd full day is my 8:05 akershus ressie, which I know people go meet Elsa and Anna after and hop on FEA....

The DD is meeting princess mode...that is her goal... so that first epcot day is going to be spent meeting everyone around the WS... So I COULD put off the frozen stuff until the next epcot day....

Either way will work, as long as you are at Epcot 30 min, or so, before opening time and head directly to your attraction of choice when they drop the rope.

Should I just aim for the Frozen stuff on Akershus day?

If that's what you want.

When I go to the same park on multiple days, I ride my favorite attractions more than once.
Sometimes with FP, sometimes Rope Drop, sometimes standby.

Also, you never know when there MIGHT be a breakdown, so if a particular attraction is a priority, I usually don't put off riding it only until a later day in the trip.

You can do it either way. If you don't mind the walk (it's a pretty long walk from Soarin' to FEA), you can do both in the morning with no need for a FP+ and no waiting in line. Go right to Soarin' at park open. Then head to FEA...there is minimal to no wait before 11am. You can do both and be done well before 10:00am, easily.

THANKS! I might do that!

If you really want to go nuts and TT is on your "to do" list, you can hit all three very quickly and easily. Just follow the plan I listed above, then add in a TT FP+ for around 10:00am.... Or you can do it in this order...rope drop TT, standby FEA, then FP+ Soarin'. Just try to do TT and FEA together, as they aren't far apart, where Soarin' is far from those two.

there's the potential to go nuts.... but we can ride TT as single riders. one of us has to stay with dd.... that change anything?

It doesn't change anything EXCEPT, I would do FEA the very first thing and do TT second.
(I'd do that even if you were all riding TT together, anyway.)

Even though TT comes "before" FEA on the path, the line at FEA will grow
exponentially the longer you delay getting there after the rope drops.

AFTER soarin' right? stop to meet Anna and elsa, or right on to TT?

THANKS FOR YOUR HELP!!!

I'm sorry, but I can't agree with assuring that there will be "minimal to no wait before 11am" for Frozen.
It is still the "must do" attraction at Epcot, and thousands of guests make it their first destination.

I'd not take the time necessary in the precious early morning time for a Meet & Greet if (IF) your priority is riding the "big three" (FEA, Soarin', TT) at Epcot.

I can't assure it, because anything is possible. Just going on our experiences. Since it's all standby, even if a lot of people go over, they move through quickly. When we first rode it in summer of '16, FEA had only been open less than 2 weeks. The line went nearly to the outside section (we stopped just feet past the FP+ tap), and we thought we were screwed. But that wait was less than 30 minutes. This summer, we did it every time we went to Epcot (4 times maybe?). The longest we waited...I timed it...was 10 minutes. Once it was 3 minutes, including the time it took to walk from the FP+ tap point (when I started the timer). I've heard other people say the same thing, in that before the FP+ people start arriving at 11am, the line is minimal. TT line grows fast as soon as the park opens, every day. So you're right, there's no guarantee, but just my own experience I'd feel much more confident that the line for FEA would be short at 9:30am than for TT.

I would say frozen, anna/elsa, soarin, test track, would be the rank of priority. test track isn't on my plan because dd can't ride with us, but since I heard single rider is speedy, thought I could stick it in for us, if timing worked out.

that being said, we will be at Akershus at 8am two days from 1st day, and we are spending the afternoon meeting the princesses at ws....so I can easily put a&e after akershus then

I personally would FP FEA because I had a bad experience in the spring. We tried to RD it and it was down. We waited a bit but finally gave up. It ended up being up and down all day, and when it was up the lines were crazy. I went again in the summer with a FP for it so finally got to ride.
