RCI reservation and MDE

I secured a reservation at OKW resort through RCI. It is for January.

In a couple of weeks I will be able to book my dining reservations. I'd like to be able to make my dining reservations at the 180 day mark.

My question is.... Where/How do I get a reservation number to attach to my MY Disney Experience account?

Once you get the RCI Confirmation, there should be a phone number for DVC Member Services. Call them and identify yourself and an in-bound RCI exchange. Ask them for the Disney Reservation Number which is what you need to link to MDE. You can also add DME (Disney's Magical Express) and purchase a Disney Dining Plan if desired thru MS.

An RCI owner, renting a place at WDW through the official channels, can. Just like a DVC owner renting an RCI place can likely call RCI. Makes sense, yes?

Remember that, in essence, that RCI inbound trade was secured by a DVC Member that has traded their points into RCI. It is, technically, a DVC points reservation for a third party, just like a rental. But in this instance, there is no other way for the RCI inbound person to get the DVC reservation number...there is no involved renting owner to supply that info. IMO a justifiable usage of Member Services. They'd also need to call MS to add a dining plan and DME, if desired. And they also call MS to pay the $95 inbound trade fee.

And... I plan on spending a very long time on the phone. I also plan on using the toilets in the lobby when I get there.

they normally get the info on Tuesday, I'd call mid day tomorrow and speak to the exchange department. They should be able to give you the booking type (almost certainly non HH) and the DVC reservation number. You can also add ME and the DDP if you like.

Thank you, I will do that tomorrow or later this week.
I don't think I will be using DME or the Dining plan. But, I do want to be prepared to make my dining reservations and FP+ reservations when the time comes.

Once you get the Disney Reservation Number and link that to MDE, you will also be able to customize your MagicBands.
