How long in advance can you make, or should make, reservations for RCI locations?
I tried to find it on the website and I was confused. I am sure it is simple but if anyone can answer it would be appreciated

I believe you can (theoretically) go out as far as 24 months. I've booked "immediately available" inventory as far as 21 months prior to travel. However, when browsing available inventory (vs requesting an ongoing search) the bulk tends to be about 14-10 months out.

A LOT of weeks resorts deposit around or close to 2 years out and a lot of RCI members plan a full 2 years out. For weeks resorts anything less reduces your chances of success. I'd consider anything under a year for weeks resorts to be short notice. For RCI points resorts, 10 months to the day at opening is the cutoff you should be looking at. It can be helpful to find out when the resorts you're looking at tend to deposit both to make sure you're ahead of this curve and to judge your chances of success once you get to a certain lead time from your request.
