Hi DVC community....

Question: my parents own 2 timeshares, non-Disney. They have "2 weeks" in RCI... what does this mean? Can they (we) use them at a DVC villa? If so, how much does that cost to transfer? I have NO idea how this stuff works, but they are completely game to let us use their points if we can...

Can any RCI pros out there translate for me?? :confused3 :worship:

Thanks SO much!!

There is one constraint: they may not use a deposit from any resort in the Orlando area to exchange back into an Orlando DVC.

Otherwise, it can be done with the trade power caveat offered above. You'll get a lot more help about the exchanging process at a general timeshare site: TS4M (www.timeshareforums.com) or TUG (tugbbs.com)

If you specify the timeshares they own, and their home resorts, one of the timeshare pros here can probably tell you whether they would potentially be able to exchange into DVC. Whether they're actually able to do so depends on a LOT of factors, including luck.
