RCI Ongoing Search

I was wondering, if I use RCI (I have not pre-deposited points at this time), and create an ongoing search - will it autoconfirm the reservation and pull the points or email me first? I don't want it to go out and grab a reservation of a larger room that I don't want.

I believe it holds it for you and gives you 24 hours to accept
