I'm gonna have some leftover points. Not enough to have a stay at disney. So I thought we would just throw them into RCI for a 1 or 2 night stay somewhere close to home. Is there any easy way to know what the RCI low "Blue Season" is?

I looked into that some time ago. If I remember correctly, each resort has it's own seasons. I do not think the DVC portal to RCI gives you those specifics. My sister has RCI, so I used her login to poke around. I did not find much od interest.

With II, DVC's HIGH, MID and LOW season did not match up to the break points that II used. It appears (though I haven't confirmed) that DVC is using RCI's break point for red, white and blue. With II, it was actually better because all non red time tended to be DVD LOW season and a fair amount of red time was DVC MID so this change represents an increase in costs if I'm understanding it correctly.

Since I'm sitting here in Panama City Beach and woke up early because I couldn't sleep because the waves are too loud, I chose a PC option for example. http://www.rci.com/RCI/rdg/availableUnits.do is wyndham's resort here, that should give you an idea. I went to rci.com com and clicked on resort directory florida/panhandle/panama city.

Remember though that you'll pay the $95 fee and usually, a housekeeping fee for less than a week. By definition you're looking at off time. for a day or 2 it's unlikely to be a value. Depending on the number of points you may be better off renting them, using them for the CC or DC or adding to them for a red week deposit of a 1 BR or larger. If you do, just make sure you understand the process, can travel and have locations/choices in mind before committing and start an ongoing search around when you deposit.
