I know we can exchange out through RCI a friend asked if we were reciprocal with interval international? She has II and wants to exchange in is this realistic?

Thanks

No, DVC's relationship with II ended January, 2009. At this time the DVC World Passport Collection only uses RCI as it's exchange partner. DVC did work with II from 1996 thru 2008.

As noted, no, however there may be other ways to get in. Their resort may be dually affiliated or they may have an ownership that has other access. Then there's always the independent exchange companies and direct exchanges. What resort do they own?

She owns II, but her parents own RCI so I think they may work out a trade between themselves. If she has RCI how hard is it to get in at a non holiday time?

From what I can tell, you need to own a "Tiger Trader" to get DVC. My RCI week can nab 2br summer weeks at DVC HHI, but it doesn't see anything more than 1br's at WDW and not many of those(usually SSR/OKW).

And my week is considered a good not great trader.

The answer is it depends as Starr Suggests. Variables include the unit size they need, resorts they will accept, exact time of travel and even start day to a degree. As a rule 2 BR units are difficult and SSR/OKW are far easier to get into than anything else. VWL also has a fair amount of 1 BR availability for part of the year. I've had trades to SSR, OKW, VB, BCV, BWV and AKV. I've also had many options for HH and VWL. I haven't yet seen BLT and doubt it'll be available for exchange for a while, usually about 2 years with new DVC resorts.

If you know what they want and what RCI options they have, we could give more info.

On a side note, it will be interesting to see the availability for HI in a couple of years.
