Pet peeve: Answering a call that starts out "HI, this is ____, calling from member services about your property at <DVC resort>

Then when you question them, because that's not how Disney starts a call, you determine that it's RCI.

Stop pretending to be Disney to try to get my attention. 🤬

Why would RCI member services be calling a DVC member to ask them about "their" resort? I admit I have never had any interaction or use for RCI, but I can't complete the circle.

They are trying to get you to go to a presentation. They know you own Disney so it’s a marketing call. Nothing more. We get them all the time, no matter how often we tell them to stop. 😂

Ah. Those numbers I just ignore. Got it. Thanks.

They are probably not RCI either. Just some scammers that are connected to some dumpy resort somewhere. I get calls from them because I own at Hilton Grand Vacation Club. I also own at DVC.

Funny we get timeshare calls frequently trying to see if we will go to a presentation and lost of the time when we tell them we own DVC they hang up. We actually went to one timeshare presentation that we signed up for at a movie theater because of what they were offering for us to do so and when we got there they asked if we owned any other time shares, told them DVC and then they immediately claimed they didn't have enough staff and gave us our goodies and sent us on our way....lol

My DH loves the ones that call to get us out of them and he tells them not only do we use them but that I am constantly buying more!!!! Hahaha

In the 24 years I have been a DVC member I have never revived a call from RCI .

The only time we have been called about touring another timeshare was when my in laws gave our name out during their tour with whoever they were touring with.
We asked them not to do this again. At one point we lost track of how may time shares they had and we did not to want to get calls every time they toured.

Jealous. Lol. Work phone is forwarded to my cell, so I have to answer. Lots of recordings offering me an extended warranty. :)
Better than the ones offering to enhance body parts I don't even have!
