My dw has just seen a message from a facebook friend that she found a baby rattlesnake round their pool at the house on Highland reserve, someone came and collected it and took it to a conservation area for release.
Just thought it would be an interesesting find and also a bit of a heads up for those going with young kids.

Ive also read about people seeing snakes at Typhoon Lagoon :scared1: I never sit near the bushes now! :rotfl:

Stayed in villas for years and have never ever seen one.

I did run over a snake years ago whilst driving from Miami to Naples, so Julie says anyway - I was the driver but never saw it! :)

We have seen snakes every time we have been to typhoon lagoon. To be honest you should expect to see them as there is lot's of water around. They are no dangerous though i can see how they can startly someone.

We seen one whilst on the creek, needless to say it put me off going back all trip!

Also seen quite a few at Kennedy Space Center, i was too scared to get off the bus to use the toilet. These were no babies :scared1:

Disney are very good with matters like this. The creek was closed until the snake was found ;)

we saw a snake at Typhoon Lagoon!

we opened the door of our villa one morning to see a rather large snake, sil and i locked the men out and let them deal with it :rotfl:

i think the alligators keep most of the venomous snakes from the villas

Only snake I have seen is at MK, going round on the train. It was only a small one. Matt is terrified of snakes, we saw a plastic one in Celebration car park at Xmas, took him about an hour to calm down. Funny for us, not for him.

We saw a black racer snake as we left Epcot once. It was on the path on the way to the bus stops.

It was about 3 feet long.

Racers are harmless though.

After reading all these snake stories I'm really scared now!! :scared1:

Omg I am petrified of snakes if I saw one on my doorstep I would never lrave the villa again !!
I thought i was safe from scary snakes in florida now ive got a new paranoia ever time i open the villa door before stepping out I will be checking for snakes now :scared1::scared1::scared1:

With Florida's tropical climate I think snakes and the like are pretty much inevitable, they were there before the mouse was! ;) With that said I tend to avoid walking on grass when I can (biting insects often lurk there and i'm a wuss!)
