Rate ?

Hi, can anyone please help me regarding the rates for the Disney Resorts? We have been thinking about going to WDW for New Year 2005, so I've been looking at packages to get an idea of the price. Some of the packages state that the first nights room rate determines the rate for the rest of the stay. As we would be checking in on the 12/30 (holiday rate), and checking out on the 1/13 (value rate) we would be paying holiday rates for 12 nights that would normally be value rates. My question is, if we book our accomodation direct with Disney, would the holiday rates still apply to our whole stay, or would we pay holiday rates for the 30th and 31st Dec. and value rates for the 1st - 12th Jan?

EDIT: Sorry! I just checked my invoice and apparently the rate you pay for your first night is the rate you pay for every night.

If that is the case, perhaps we could make two separate bookings. Does anyone know if the minimum number of nights that you can book at New Year is still 5?

Hi. It's my understanding that you can make two reservations so you wouldn't have to pay holiday rate for the entire stay. The downside to this would be you would need to check/out/in twice and maybe change rooms. Have you considered switching resorts at this time? It is WAY fun to change resorts during a long stay. It's like getting two vacations in one.

IMHO I would definately make the two reservations and pretty soon, especially the one for New Years.
