Rate your 2024 out of 10?

wow hard to put a number on that... right now 6.75 maybe. A lot of good, but enough bad to lower the score.

A 3
* Hottest 🔥 🔥 summer ever
* Sister moved from Oregon to Texas
* No flash floods in the desert wash.. which means no rain
* Only 2 rattlesnake encounters

I will give it an 8. It was very good year for me. Some great trips both as a couple and with our girls , some things crossed off my bucket list, a new work schedule with no night shifts, no real health issues within the family and finally some relief of some ongoing symptoms I have been dealing with. Definitely beat 2023 with DHs cancer scare.

Gonna have to give it a 10 as well. I'm alive, relatively healthy and still able to enjoy life. I'll take that for sure. :)

8

I did some home upgrades by myself without hiring contractors
I got a new vehicle
It took too long to get rid of the mole that tore up my front lawn
I did 3 cruises
I survived and had minimal property damage from hurricanes Milton and Helene

Every day of the year I and all of my loved ones had food to eat, fresh running water, a roof over our head and a warm bed to sleep in, clothes to wear, and the love of one another. Definitely a 10.

10! At the age of 73, I became a grandmother for the first time! When that sweet baby girl looks into my eyes and smiles at me, my life is made. ❤️
Isn't it just the greatest? I had no idea how wonderful it would be. My granddaughter is 21 months old and I can't get enough of her, and she has a sibling on the way.

It only gets better with each passing day!! Congratulations!

5. The majority of my year was spent fighting cancer after being diagnosed in Jan. While I still have some surgeries in front of me and some lingering side effects from chemo, I am alive. I can’t ask for anything more than that right now.

2024 has not been kind. In Jan, my boyfriend (age 77), of 14 years, passed away from ckd. I took his dog, Howie, in and Howie was diagnosed with lymphoma in Nov, and had to be put down. I had foot surgery in May and have recovered nicely from that. Went to Myrtle Beach with my oldest DS and family. I would give 2024 a “3”.

Lot of changes but mostly for the good or at least I see the good of the actions. 7/8 out of 10.

If 2024 wasn't a 10, it was close.
Welcomed our 3rd Grandchild.
Wife re-retired after returning to work for 10 months.
Both started drawing Social Security, and at least for us, is more than enough to cover all our expenses.
Health issues stable/controlled.

About a 5....had some goods, but some bads too.
Pinched nerve in July that put me going doctor to doctor for 3 months.
DH had a heart attack scare (which turned out to be blood clots in his lungs).
DH had to have his thyroid removed.

But we also had some good things.....saw our family a lot.
Took some great trips....3 to WDW, couple cruises
