I love it! But I would wear it with wedges or heels and sans the 3 foot tall flower! I also wouldn't pay more than $50 for it.

I think it's fabulously chic!:thumbsup2
I live in NYC, and I can tell you with certainty that this style dress is going to be BIG for spring. The fashion designers are all going retro, and this mood for clothes is whimsical, fun, bright, lively, feminine. I'd say buy the dress!!!!!!

Well, here's hoping Target does a knockoff then, 'cause I'm not paying $245 for one casual dress regardless of the mood it's in.

Oh Mal, I do want to thank you for this thread. I think you have got me over my shopping slump. I haven't been in the mood, but now I am itching for some news clothes.

DH is taking DS out fishing on Saturday and I think I am going to do a little clothes shopping for me while they are out!

They do! I've bought some designer knock-offs from there, but of course I don't tell anyone.;)

I'm not a fan BUT I can see my SIL not only wearing this but completely pulling it off and looking totally great. Of course it doesn't hurt that she is 21, a size 0 and GORGEOUS but she has this "retro aura" about her too.

I voted ugly, but that doesn't mean it isn't fabulously chic. The two have never been mutually exclusive, IMO.

Even though I think it is ugly, the right person might be able to pull it off and look good in it. I wouldn't try, but it might work for someone. :)

Oh I love it and wished that I would look good wearing it.I would have to go out without DH because he would die before he was seen with me wearing that dress.

Not a fan.

I'm with the poster that mentioned Carol Brady. Although, I could see Jan or Marcia wearing it too. :goodvibes

I can see that I'll be saving my wallet lots of money this spring, if all I'm going to find are retro styles.

I usually love any dress that has green in it (my favorite color) but this one just doesn't do it..... especially with that brown belt! :scared1:

I actually think Paula Abdul just wore it on American Idol auditions last week or maybe the week before. I was just deleting stuff from my DVR, and I swear that was one of her outfits...

It's not for me, BTW!

It's great...if you're wearing it to a retro late 60's early 70's party anyway...LOL

Agreed..I am 50 and would have worn that back than but not know....:sad2:
Love the pattern it brings back my hippie dippie( as my father use to call me) days :thumbsup2

I actually kind of like it. But I think it would look horrible on me.

I think it's really cute. Gotta love J Crew!
I've seen a lot of dresses posted on here, and most look like something Vanna wore in the 80's on Wheel of Fortune!

I'm thinking The Sound of Music and play clothes made from curtains.
I agree with previous poster "It's fabulously chic and ugly"!!

Way cute! I'd prefer it minus the ruffle, though. Still cute!
