I've never been to DLR. My first question about the Matterhorn is how it compares to BTMRR. Faster or slower? Bigger or smaller drops? More or less thrilling?
Then I'd have to ask how you would compare BTMRR to the one in WDW.
Thanks.
I'd say they're about equal in terms of awesomeness as well as my love for them.

Big Thunder Mountain is faster and has bigger drops, but is also much smoother. Matterhorn is a bit jerky, but nothing extreme. Anyone in good health should
easily be able to handle it. Matterhorn still gets up and goes, is really exciting, and has some nice drops here and there, but it's not as big or fast as Thunder. One thing about Matterhorn though are the great views you get while riding it. The views are even better than anything on Thunder, for the most part. Plus, I think they pump cool air into the mountain or something, because it always feels like cool breeze inside, no matter how hot it is outside.
Don't forget that there are two sides.... Tomorrowland and Fantasyland. Both of which offer a different ride. Be sure to ride both sides before judging the overall attraction. You may like one side but love the other, or vis versa.
In my opinion, Thunder Mountain at
Disneyland is better than the one at Disney World. (Same with POTC; much better at DL) They're both very similar, but Big Thunder just seems to pack more of a punch at DL.
