Rate the Ride: Big Thunder Mountain

I love this ride... I can remember as a kid, it was my dad's favorite ride too, and he was quite the photog, one trip he was trying to take photos while the ride was moving (yeah I know...) anyhow, and he ended up losing his lens cap... not the only place that ever happened--but usually he lost it in like a giant tulip field...

My little brother, hated this ride, almost as much as Mr. Toad (at least when he was 4!) and screamed the entire time...

My whole family loves this ride. Our favorite place is in the very back because you get whipped around more.

As far as comparing it to the one at WDW, we didn't really notice many differences at all. For us the one at DL doesn't feel shorter (nor rougher) compared to the one at WDW. We love both and think both are a blast.

I LOVE this ride! Especially at night.

This is one of the rides from my childhood my parents forced me on. And I remember clutching my Mom's neon pink wind breaker for dear life.

LOVE it....It was my childrens FIRST rollercoaster!! They totally loved it too....they ask to go on that when we ask what ride do they want to ride!!

Contrary to popular belief, I like the DL thunder better. The lines have also moved pretty fast for me. They made the queue so extensive at WDW that you are almost always in for a long wait there.

My favorite ride as a kid. My dad took video of the entire ride once, you can hear me as a 8 year old screaming my head off just for the fun of it. I remember I was so proud when I built up the courage to put my hands in the air the first time.
