Rate the Lounges around the monorail...

Out of each resort on the monorail which one hast he best lounge to just sit back relax and enjoy a drink or something to munch on?? Thanks for your input!

I like Tambu for drinks and food...but it is NOT relaxing. It is chaotic because everyone waiting to get into 'Ohana for dinner crowds into that space.

The Wave has good appetizers and the bar's kind of neat looking. I'm of the opinon that the bar is better looking than the restaurant.

I haven't been to the Outer Rim since they renovated it (or since the Wave opened).

Mizner's (at GF) is probably the most relaxing. It's elegant, it's slightly removed from the restaurant waiting areas (of course, the restaurants are Citricos and Victoria & Albert's which means the waiting area won't be as chaotic) and the GF band plays just outside.

Does Mizners just have drinks or are there snacks?

So you can just walk into Mizners and eat Citricos food? No reservations etc? Are children allowed in Mizners?

I know it's not on the monorail, but is accessible by boat ... What about the lounge at Wilderness Lodge? Or even Crockett's Tavern at Fort Wilderness?

Children are allowed in all WDW lounges and bars (except Jellyrolls at the Boardwalk)

Unless I am mistaken, Mizners serves appetizers only, not the full Citricos menu. And if you're on DDP I am pretty sure you can't use it in the lounge.

Territory Lounge at Wilderness Lodge is very relaxing. The food is very good too. Last time we were there, we ordered several appetizers from the Artist Point menu. Here's a link to the Lounge menu

Tambu isn't relaxing, but I'm looking forward to a Lapu Lapu & some sticky wings.

Can we get desserts at the Bar at the Wave, do you know? We're finishing our Monorail Crawl at The Wave for dessert. I made a ressie just in case we needed one, but was only guessing at the timing. I would like to be able to not worry about time & just get there when we get there.

The Wave had some desserts on its bar menu. Don't know if it's changed since I saw it.

In July, DH & I ordered drinks from Tambu & sat in the upper-level lobby. The comfy wicker chairs were right next to a floor to ceiling window & we people watched (& chatted) the whole time. There was also a cocktail waitress walking around to take drink orders. We really had a great time & enjoyed the break in our day.

My favorite is The Tambu Lounge. I just love the atmosphere in the Poly. I also love their wonderful Pina Coladas and of course the Lapu Lapu.

Mizner's at the GF is my second favorite. It is very relaxing there. I enjoy getting a nice glass of wine when I go there.

So there really is no "Adult Only" place except Jellyrolls in the whole park? I figured we'd at least be able to go to the bar to excape the family thing. This could be a very long 5 days.

Well, there is Atlantic Dance when it's open, and there is Victoria & Albert's which does not permit children under age 10. With those exceptions, there are no "adults only" places at Walt Disney World. Been that way since a year ago when Pleasure Island closed.
