please rate pop on a scale of 1-10, 1 being the worst, 10 being the best. :)
alsoo, i would really appreciate a comment if you can about why you voted a certain way. :goodvibes

I voted good.

I stayed January 2006 (late in the month).

Crowds were low, the CM's were great, they gave me a room right when we arrived at 2 pm, corner room, in the 50's very close to the food court.

In January our transportation was outstanding. I do prefer not to have to walk to the furtherest bus stop however.

I also found the beds, pillows and sheets a bit spartan.

I did get value though at $49 per night.

My at the time 10 yo loved it.

I liked the shadowboxes in the lobby enormously.

It was great for just the two of us, more than that I don't think we could have fit.

So it really depends on your needs and the time of year you travel in my opinion,

I voted good. I liked it but I liked movies better. I think the difference to me was the excitement and kindness of castmembers. Don't get me wrong they were nice at Pop but not as nice as we experienced at Movies. I do like it enough that we will return there on our next trip. I wanted to stay at Movies but now that they made all toy story and dalmation preferred I'm not going to pay the extra per night for them and those are the two buildings I would want if we went to Movies so that is out for us now.

I was just there in Dec. And quite honestly I do not know how a family could stay in there......small and the beds and sheets spartan.........I would say horrible. To each his own but I will never stay there again, not to mention the hike I had to get to the car and my room. I would stay offiste over there again.

I voted very good, based mostly on value for the buck. It is just the two of us and honestly I stay at the parks from opening to closing, so I spend almost no time in a room.

I do think the staff at Music is better.... but then again I would rate the staff at music as 10. I was amazed to get that level of service at a value. I think someone told me that their (music) last customer service rating was better than ANY other Disney hotel.

We loved POP when we were there in August. Transportation was outstanding, as were all the CM's. Housekeeping was great. Clean room! Great value for the money!

We've stayed at POP about 10 times and loved it every time. We love the themes and that it's easy to get to off the interstate. The food court is adequate and the pools are fun. We like to walk around see everything. There's a lot to explore at POP! We've stayed at all levels and to me, the ovver-exagerated decorations at the values are in the true Disney fashion.

I voted Good.
I think it's well themed.
One time I got a good location in the 70's and the second time a bad location in the 90's. So location is everything!
Like the many choices in the food court but not the long check out lines.
Only 1 or 2 of us in a room so can't comment on how crowded it could be with more people but I'd hate to share a sink with too many.
Housekeeping and transportation were both good.
Pools are ok but I like ones with slides better.
Think it's a good value(especially if you're not in the room much except to sleep) but for myself I like to lounge around a pool and sit out on a balcony and have the whole "resort" experience.

I personally love the Contemporary and stay there most of the time. However, for the Pop itself, I voted very good. You cannot beat the rate, as we all know its a value. I think the options you get for the price are nice. I also liked that we did not share a bus with any other resort...at least this was the case for September 2005 and I'm not sure if it changed. It's a nice feeling to get on the bus and know you are going where you want to go. For our quick, inexpensive trip we got exactly what we needed. WHile I missed some of the luxeries of the Contemporary, I understood I was at a value and there are some sacrifices you make to stay at a value. I would definitely stay there again.

Food is good, room good for the $, housekeeping good, pools nice. But it does feel like you're being punished for being cheap when you walk to the very last bus stop.

We stayed at POP for the first time 12/19-12/30. We had never stayed at a value and did not know what to expect. We were all amazed at how much we loved it. The room layout ( you walk into the beds) really opens up the room more. Yes, small beds but better than OKW.Lots of foodcourt choices and very good. We have walked farther to bus stop at AkL. The busses were better than BC.We planed for storage issues and had more room than ever before on WDW trip. Got a fridge through one of the swaps here.We figured we saw POP at capacity and it felt like a normal/average crowd. It was really cool to see the signs with the years on them and tell the kids where we were or what we were doing when that happened. The decorations really brought the age gaps between us together. All four of us (even my husband who loves his AKL) have agreed to go back in Oct. and we can not wait to stay at POP.:thumbsup2

I voted "Okay". Some good points, bus transportation, food court & shops are great. Preferred room locations are not - some preferred rooms have views of absolutely nothing & are a hike to food court, etc. We were there in September during free dining & it was mobbed. Too many unruley and unsupervised kids running the halls after 10pm. Rude guests. Just nothing like it had been 2 years prior to this September. We're going to ASMu this month in hopes of finding some peace and quiet for our mini-vacation.

pop is hands down my favorite value resort! i've stayed there 2 times and we're going to be staying there again in 6 days. i love the theming, the fact that they have slushies in the food court and that they don't share a bus!

i voted excellent, it was our first ever trip to the world, i must say we were all very surprised at how nice it was we really did not have high expectations for a value resort but the staff and the cleaning crew were great the food court was well above what we expected, i think Disney did a great job with their value resorts you can have a great Disney experience without feeling like you are missing out on the resort fun.

The bus service was commendable - the food court lines went very fast at a very busy time (Free dining end of Sept)

they were just ready and used to dealing with crowds!!

(and I hated the lines at Wilderness Lodge Food Court, only ONE cashier??? ridiculous! the bus service at Port Orleans, horrific!!)

I give it a 7. Surprisingly good bus service; clean and fresh rooms; good food court; fine CMs

I gave it a very great. We stayed in Jan. 07 and I'm planning on booking again for Jan. 09. When we went last year we had only requested a standard room and we were placed in the 80's. The pool was right outside our door and the walk to food court was short. We requested two adjoining rooms but when we got to our rooms they were right next door to one another instead of adjoining. We phoned the front desk and they promptly changed it plus rushed us our new keys. Bus service was good. No complaints about Pop from me!

I feel like I should clarify my vote.

Last year was our first stay at Pop Century and it was one week before the non-smoking rule went into effect for all guestrooms.

My initial impression was: Wow! This is great! The lobby, food court and gift shop were all very clean, bright, colorful and just plain fun. The CM who checked us in was one of the friendliest we've had anywhere and we loved walking around the oversized icons on the grounds. From photos, we'd thought they'd seem takcy, but in person, they just made you feel like a giddy child.

Guestroom was fine---we were prepared for the smaller size. Everything was in good order. Then, at about 3 a.m., our non-smoking room in a non-smoking building was filling up with cigarette smoke. We finally determined it was coming from the bathroom next to our's. At about 7:30, I went to the front desk to report the problem. I had the feeling it was a common complaint. The moved us to another non-smoking building and we had no problem there.

However, I have to say this, Pop had a very different feel for us than the only other Value we've stayed at--All Star Movies. At night--and it could very well have been just during our particular stay--people were pulling cases of beer down the hallways to their rooms and yelling loudly to each other; it seemed everyone thought the balconies were solely for smoking; and the pool was completely encircled in cigarette smoke. Both DS and I have asthma and we were only able to be in the pool about 1/2 hour for our whole stay...it was that bad. Looking at the new designated smoking area maps, I think the outdoor smoking can only be worse and I can barely imagine that.

So, basically, we had great CM's, the property was thoughtfully, brightly designed---we just had the bad luck to be staying there when there seemed to be an abundance of heavy drinking parties and smoking.

I voted good. I have stayed at this resort 3 times and have really no complaints. I thought the resort is great and lots of fun for the kids. I do prefer a moderate or deluxe but if staying at Pop is great if that is what is in the budget.:thumbsup2
