Rapunzel with 8am Opening

It's a meet and greet but a little different that the other characters. When they first open the area, the first 20 or so children get to enter the meet/greet area where there is a table in the middle. Parents are asked to line up near the wall in the order of the orignial line while the children can color drawings of Flynn/Rapunzel with crayons. About 10 minutes later, Rapunzel and Flynn enter, they form a circle with the children around the table and dance around the table. After that, they ask the children to go to their parents who are lined up against the wall, they let in the remainder of families who were waiting outside the rope during the coloring/dance, and Rapunzel/Flynn begin the meet and greet one family at a time.

Thanks my DD (4) will probably ask Rapunzel where her mother is. She sings mother knows best 400 times a day and now its on a CD in my car.

Can I just check. We're three adults who'd like the meet them, so if we went for the 9:15 show, I assume we'd be allowed in with the other adults so we could line up against the wall? I don't wanna take a kids place in the activities, we just wanna meet them too. :confused3

When we were there for the 9:15 set, there were about 3 adults who did not have kids who joined in on the coloring and dancing activities. So the CMs will probably let you partcipate in it if you wanted to as long as you lined up early enough.

So if we are planning to do a Rope Drop dash for Rapunzel, what is the best/most direct route to the Fairytale Garden so that we can beat the crowds? Is it behind the castle? Do I take the Tomorrowland bridge? I think I need a Robo map, hint, hint. Thanks!! :)

Sorry, I don't have a map but it's the 2nd bridge on the right :lmao:. Just over the bridge on the left, before you get to the teacups. And fast walk (read: run) like your life depends on it if you're not in front of everyone else at RD. :thumbsup2

Edit: Lemme see if this works. Look between #23 and letter U. 23 is labeled Fairytale Gardens but it's really closer to letter U, if that makes sense. Lol

Thank you :-) I wouldn't take a place from a kid doing the coloring and dancing...just really wanna meet them so that's cool, thanks. :)

Rope-drop-mad-dash on our last day was the only time we made it without being told there was over an hour wait. There were somehow about 10 others in line before us (I swear there was no one in front of us in the walkways right after the RD ceremony). The line fills up VERY quick even for the NEXT shows, which can leave you waiting for an hour or more.

And for the person who asked "where" the M&G is, remember Belle's storytime area between the castle and the teacups? There. :)

I may have been one of those 10 people in front:rolleyes1. We had an 8:05am Crystal Palace ADR. At 8:45p we left the restaurant and made straight for the Fairytale Gardens to stay ahead of the RD crowd. We ended up first in line at Tangled. We had to sacrifice meeting Eeyore but meeting Rapunzel and Flynn was priorty number one for our DD4.

Did Flynn show up a few minutes late and y'all got to go back for pics with him? Sat 2/5? If so, yep, you were first. ;)

Perfect. Thanks so much!

Just last Thursday, we were there for rope drop and morning EMH at 8:00. We all walked right over to Fairy Tale Garden and were the very first ones there! No other crazy people joined me at least until 8:20. ;) DH rode several things with the kids while I held the spot(Facebook, sip coffee!)! He brought my DD back to me around 9:00 and the meet and greet started shortly after that. The kids colored around the table and the adults are filed in order of arrival along the wall. I'm sure this is where the adults without kids would go, too! It was so much fun and well worth the wait! I was star-struck! We were all done by 9:25.
