Rapunzel June 24 Move

Not really a fan of this idea of moving Rapunzel into Town Square, my sister and me aren't fans of her, and this will be a waste of time for us to have to line up with everyone else who is going along to meet her. We went in January and didn't go anywhere near her meet and greet area, but we found that Town square was really good for the three princesses as we only ever had a 5-10 minute wait to meet them all together.Where as now I bet the lines will be at least 40-50 minutes throughout the day. Plus I think they should move Aurora somewhere else, it is very bad for photos, and if the Photopass Photographers can't even get a good photo cause of the lighting what hope so the rest of us have?

exactly. We actually don't like Rapunzel so never meet her. We would only wait to see Belle and Cinderella. Hopefully if Aurora is meeting later in the afternoon, we can jump in line then.

It still wouldn't be an issue if they hadn't started enforcement of fastpass return times. But now it's just looking like a lot more hassle than it's worth. And we've always been big princess fans here.

As a fan of all 10 of the official princesses, I really hope this is true! We're going to try and meet Rapunzel on the 20th, but Merida is our priority that morning and if the lines are crazy and I have a confirm on this change on the 24th (trust me, I'll be talking to some CMs around the Mickey and Princess M&G area) I won't feel as bad skipping her that day and getting her on the 24th.

Even though I grew up with Ariel, Belle and the classic princesses, Rapunzel is definitely one of my favorite Disney ladies, so I'm glad she's getting this FastPass area.

We are big fans of this plan also. We always see Aurora in Epcot so to see her again in MK is a duplicate for us. We also see Belle in Epcot but she is in her everyday cloths so seeing her in her gown in MK does not feel as much like a duplicate. This will keep us from having to wait in line for Rapunzel and then FP the other Princesses. YEAH!

I'm also really hoping this is true. We're heading to MK June 27-28 and from what I hear meeting Rapunzel next to City Hall is a nightmare! I'm assuming that since Brave will be opening the weekend before we visit MK, Merida's M&G will be really long too. I love Rapunzel and from her commercials, I'm going to love Merida too. I don't want to have to miss meeting either of them!

I sent an email to Kenny the Pirate asking if he has heard anything new. He's in Disneyland right now, but he said he would see what he could find out. When I hear from him, I'll post an update here.

If Disney would just put Rapunzel in Epcot as well or have her in a spot all day long like they do with Ariel, then this probably wouldn't be such an issue for people who just want to meet her.

I agree that Merida will probably be a nightmare after the movie comes out. Sadly, the day that we can go, I don't think we'll be able to make it into MK until nearly 2 if not later. Sigh....

We can't wait to meet Merida, loved Brave! Rapunzel, we skip each time. Didn't like Tangled and don't care for Rapunzel either. They should fast pass her by herself if she's still that popular

I'm thinking that having Rapunzel before the parade then Auora after the parade would be a good idea, then they swap every 20 minutes after 8.

I think you clog your line up even more. "But I don't want to see Rapunzel/Aurora! I want to see Aurora/Rapunzel!" Can you imagine how many times some parents will end up going through the line so that they can try to get a picture of their daughter with the right princess?

Agreed. Character swaps for a single queue are the most maddening system if you want a particular character.

As for the future M&G, no one knows but I think the safe money is on the ones currently at TST to go there, perhaps with an additional one or two.

I agree. Anyone who loves characters is bound to hate character swaps like that.

And I hope they don't play "princess roulette" in the new M&G location. They do that at DL and it's absolutely maddening. First, the line moves amazingly slow because it's outdoors behind a wall, so no way to have 2 sets of the same characters meetng at the same time. And second, they won't/can't tell you who you're going to meet. So you can stand in line for over an hour only to find out you missed your DD's favorite. I do like that they include some other hard to find princess characters (Pocahontas, Fairy Godmother, Suzy or Perla and the like) but that also lessens your odds of catching the headliners. Then what? Go back later AGAIN not knowing who you'll meet, only to waste another hour for the same ones? I hated that.

Can you share where you saw that. We are there next week and that is news i have been waiting for. Alot of people on the boards have said that Rapunzels spot now is really bad for pictures early in the morning.

I didnt think our photos turned out too bad. We were first to meet her that morning too.

Belle will have her own meet and greet in Maurice's cottage in the new Fantasyland, so she won't be at the old Snow White location.

Belle used to meet in her blue after storytime, but she still met in Toontown in the princess room in her yellow gown. I guess I was sort of expecting that to happen again when the new section opens. But that's pure conjecture on my part.

Merida started appearing last month in Rapunzel's old spot, which was Belle's before that.

My girls are not big into meeting the characters, but two they wanted to meet on our last trip was Merida and Rapunzel. We managed to meet Merida - but the line for Rapunzel was crazy. I love that they are doing Rapunzel with a fast pass - and I wish they'd do the same for Merida. While I appreciate that lots of you want to meet Aurora - there seem to be more opportunities to find her than the other two. If they'd just put them all at a dinner, we wouldn't wait in line at all!
