Rapid Fill Mug Program

Has the new “rapid fill” mugs program currently installed and working at each resort?
Have the mugs changed it's look back to Mickey or are they continuing to use the old look of the past few years?

They have purple/green lids and are not particularly attractive They looked like they were working everywhere.

I just got back from AKV-Jambo yesterday and it was in effect both there and at Caribbean Beach Resort, which I visited. The one thing different for me, even without a mug, is that the machines have been changed so that you have to place your cup on a "landing". If you try the way I'm used to, to just hold your cup underneath and push the button, it won't dispense. It took the longest time for me to figure out why I wasn't getting any water. I was sure the machine was broken! Here's the sign at check-out-

I was just going to ask this myself. Heading to Vero in 5 weeks.

We are headed to OKW on Friday for a week then to vero for a week. Do I have to buy 2 length of stays or would my wow los transfer to vero? There is no way I am paying 36$ per person x6 for fountain pop for two weeks. The mugs would be nice but I fill bring my own pop if it counts as two length of stays.

I could be wrong, but I would be shocked if Vero had the RFP program already. Who knows though? When we were at Vero in June I saw more abuse of the refillable mug program than I ever saw at WDW. People weren't even using Disney mugs. The way the drink station is set up at Vero it's easy to get away with.

Honestly, if you have to buy two mugs, I would just stop at a grocery store. There are several on your way to the resort.

The mugs will go to both VB and HH in the near future per the manager at KV if you are doing a split stay at KV and VB like we often do for the cruise your mug will still work if do the dine plane as they are keyed in for 2 weeks.

I would imagine so. They are not tied to a resort specifically just calendar days. So I paid for Sept 9-23rd and used the mug at BLT/Contemp/AKL/POLY/GF during our stay.

The new program specifically states it's OK to use your mug at any of the WDW resorts during your paid period. So for a split stay just buy your mug for the full duration of your trip and take the mug along to the next resort. And if you are going to visit another place for lunch take it along.

I was staying at BC in August, and decided to walk over to Boardwalk to have a lobster roll, and filled up my mug there for lunch.

The length of stay mug doesn't appear to have a designated number of days.

No, the "length of stay" will be coded by default as 2 weeks, although ours was 17 days for some strange reason.

They put in a code of some kind to choose the length of activation then scan your mug to record the RFID tag.

I have not seen anyone challenge the 2 weeks yet... You may need to speak with a manager and ask about your 3 week stay and report back what happens.
