So in January DH and I get together with our work calendars and plan out the next year. We find ONE week when all the stars align and we can do Disney. I notify boss and co-worker. Sit and let percolate, then make my rezzies.

I find out last week that co-worker has scheduled some outside folks I will have to assist to come on THAT week.

So now I have to go contact these folks and work out a better time.

She won't admit it, but I know she just didn't give the first thought to my vacation time. Now, if I'd scheduled her on top of her vacation time, she'd've had a hissy. But I'm "just going to Disney". That's different, apparently. (I think she just forgot about it, but won't admit she forgot or that she should have told me when she made the plans or looped me in instead of letting me find out about it weeks later.)

Okay, rant over. From now on, I'm scheduling the folks who come for this bit.

Co-worker is a great co-worker, but sometimes she just has. . .well. Moments.

Okay, rant over. I will reschedule and work this one out.

So frustrating but glad it can be rescheduled.

It sounds as if she didn't do it on purpose, but still - people don't realize how important that week vacation is to get you through the rest of the long work weeks.

Do you do your scheduling on computers-Outlook or something similar? Do you have access to each other's calendars? If you do, can you put your vacation time on her calendar so she doesn't forget? If not, can you schedule it on your calendar and send her an invite that she has to respond as accepted or not and that puts it on her calendar?

I am ever optimistic I can reschedule. See, I was able to wrangle some resources for these folks annnnnddddd they're not available when I'm at Disney. (It just happened that way, honestly!)

I just needed to get it off my chest in an anonymous fashion.
