Rank only the Hotels you

1. Caesars - So far above the rest! Great hotel, beautiful rooms and great location.

2. Treasure Island - room was big and very clean.
3. Luxor - We had an unbelievable rate. I have heard bad things but our room was very clean.
4. MGM - I should give this one another try. I was at a conference and my room was so far away from the conference facility. It just seemed so big and so unfriendly.
5. Paris - I felt cramped everywhere we went here. We went when it was first opened and had a free room with points. We were told we got an upgrade but our view was a parking garage where they were doing construction. I called the front desk but got disconnected and then told to bad.

8. Excalibur - hated it.

Mandalay Bay - busy, but great fun. Nice rooms and great pool area. A bit of a walk to the heart of the strip.

NYNY - Love the general feel of the place, great fun atmosphere. Rooms are more basic. Not bad for the price.

Paris - Very nice, but a bit old world for me. Rooms are very nice. No complaints, just not for me again. Great central location.

Encore - Fantastic, great rooms, great pools, great everything. Worth the extra spend. Close to all the action without being in the centre of it. Right across from the Fashion Mall.

Its hard to get to the strip from Artia and Vdara, even thought there on the strip, and I dont think either as a casino in them. I would go with Pairs or Luxor both god picks, if all be equal stay at Paris, its center strip, and easy to get to any place

Aria has a casino. Vdara doesn't. The Mandarin Oriental also has no casino.

Here's the casino at Aria:

My friend and I stayed at The Flamingo... It was okay. We got the hall way from hell we called it and our view was of a construction site.... lol. Other then that it was good. The pool closes at 6pm... If you are pool people do not pick this for your stayy.

There is also hotels down in Downtown Las Vegas... my parents stayed the plaza last year and recently stayed at the Main Street Station they thought it was good.

**If you are on facebook, there's a game called myVegas. When you play for free, you also earn REAL comps for Vegas, 2,500 coin comps earns you a Free deck of cards. Right now i'm level 23 and have 6,900 comp coins

I just left Caesars and seen a sign that said "nobu" is that a high class hotel on the hotel, is it done yet ?

It is supposed to be when we go in April. We do a yearly girls trip with 4 of us..fun to try pricey hotels for only one quarter of the price! We do the spa and some nice meals. I look forward Ti it every year. I will try to remember to post pics .

MGM Grand - The City Of Entertainment. Largest hotel in the world, last I checked. It was even better when there was a theme park in the back. But you could spend your entire vacation just in this one hotel. If you stay there, it's worth getting a Monorail pass, even though the Monorail station is a pretty far walk from the guest rooms.

Paris - it's like being in Paris and Las Vegas at the same time. Don't bother with the buffet. Just eat at the regular restaurants.

Excalibur - it's alright. Nice food court and some shops. Easy access to New York New York and trams to Luxor / Mandalay Bay / Monte Carlo

Orleans - off strip, but nice off strip.

Stratosphere - great if you like full pay video poker machines and being strapped to a chair on the roof of one of the world's tallest buildings. But pretty far from everything else if you don't.

Riviera - good place to crash, if you're just going to hit your head on a pillow and catch some zzz's.

Imperial Palace - OK. It's a dump, and it was built on a flood plain. You can't park your car in the lower level of the parking garage, because if it rains, your car will be underwater. Lots of cigarette smoke and plenty of sleazy charm (if sleazy charm is your thing). The saving grace is that it's cheap and you can easily walk to the much more expensive places like Caesar's Palace. My advice: ask for the "Luv Tub" suite. It's like $10 extra and the room is enormous. Don't bother filling the actual "luv tub", though. It will take 2 hours and the bath will be cold by the time you finish.

:rotfl:, I never stayed there but that place is a dump, they just changed the name to "the quad" and there putting a giant Ferris Wheel in the back of it, to view the strip from

1) The Signature at the MGM : Great suites with full kitchen. Easy to valet since it has a private entrance. Walking distance from the Miracle Mile Shops. Can walk to the casino in the MGM and it a stop for the monorail. (The MGM standard rooms are dumpy)

2) Planet Hollywood Towers : View is awesome, spa tub in the room, 1.75 bathroom, full kitchen, projector TV on a whole wall, of course shopping mall downstairs.

3) Trump Tower : Studio apartment style, no casino in hotel, has a spa feeling, easy walk to the Wynn and Fashion Show Mall

4) Wynn : very, very nice. A lot of eye candy, great if you want to do the club thing.
Encore, Spa Tower : over rated. The rooms are the same as the standard Encore, but it is the service that you pay for. Private valet, and swimming pool. The catch is if you want to utilize the private pool you will need to cross the esplanade in a suit. It does house the Beach Club tho.

5) Four Seasons on top of Mandalay Bay : nice customer service, spa style hotel a little old. Has own entrance, but you are able to enjoy all the Mandalay and The HOTEL has to offer.

6) Palazzo: is ok, not memorable. Has a nice bar in casino

7) Venetian : has it's charm, and shops. Rooms have a brothel feel ( which I dig )

8) Green Valley : is super nice , great for relaxing and hubby golfing.

9) Sam's Town : inexpensive, clean room, tasty steak house, bowling alley.

10) Palms : the standard rooms are decent, I prefer to stay in their Fantasy Tower , Palms Place is a studio which I like since I take my DD sometimes. The hotel is like an island, nothing is walking distance. It has a movie theater too.

Places I stay away from : the Platinum, Rio, New York, Luxor, TI, Circus Circus and Excalibur.

I am sure there a few I have missed. We go to Las Vegas about 2-3 times a year. The city and strip is always evolving.

Caesars Palace-Beautiful!
Monte Carlo-Concierge Floor was nice!
TI -Best because it was free and we had a limo to/from the airport. We are not high rollers, but it was nice to be treated like them!
Flamingo-meh..
Rio-Rooms are huge! but not close to anything
Hard Rock-Place is full of 20 something wanna-be's. Liked the Casino, but not the "vibe".
Embassy Suites. Nice alternative if you don't like the big casino/resorts

We have done 2 condo-style trips, but can't remember the names. One was Marriot owned, I think. The other was mayan themed, but can't remember the name for the life of me! Both were very nice!

I think there were a couple more trips in there, but I am blanking right now!

You can start laughing now :rotfl2:

Motel 6 on Tropicana, if you are only going to stay Saturday night there is not a two night minimum stay. It was actually pretty clean and comfortable.
When my brother and my 86 year old dad go on road trips they stay at
Motel 6, it pretty easy for my dad to navigate around on the first floor and my brother's dog gets to stay with them.
Sam's town - we have stayed here many times over the last 20 years, during the week its pretty uncrowded, clean and comfortable.

The Cosmopolitan of Las Vegas- 10 out of 10. The most beautiful casino on the strip Stayed here 5 times and loved it each time. On New Year's Eve in 2010, we watched the fireworks from the balcony (most rooms have them) to ring in 2011. It was awesome. All the restaurants are fabulous. I still have a few more to try. I should find some time this weekend or next to get some pizza. (We just had Pop Up Pizza from the Plaza last weekend, and it was really good. I need to taste the one at he Cosmo again to compare).

Caesar's Palace- 9 out of 10. Beautiful room. Stayed most recently right after the new tower opened. Incredible restaurants. Eaten at most of them. Would like to go to an event here at the Festival 05/08/13-05/12/13.

The Rio- 8 out 10. Very nice room. (All rooms are suites). Have not stayed there in a long time. Food selections decent. Used to love their buffet until Wicked Spoon opened at the Cosmopolitan. Carnival World Buffet is not even close.

Yes, I factor the food options into how much I love a hotel. When you stay at a hotel, you usually eat there often. Everything at the Cosmo is divine, so you never have to leave. I feel the same way about Caesars. The soufflé and Caesar salad at Fiore's (Rio) were the best ever, so I am sad they got rid of the restaurant.

I should add that I live in Vegas, so I mostly just stay at my house. Whenever we have stayed in a room, it was always when my DH was working (quality testing them). I can say that he no longer works for any of the above hotels, so that is not influencing my opinion. They are all lovely places to stay.

1. Buffalo Bill's in Primm
2. Wynn
3. Tropicana (way back in the day, when it was actually "all that")

I ranked them this way because I HATE Vegas (only go there under compulsion) and the only way I can stand to do Vegas is to not actually be "in" Vegas one more second than necessary. BTW, the trip to the Wynn was an all expenses paid convention for work and I literally had no choice. :headache:

PS: We got Buffalo Bill's for $2 (yes $2) a night...that will tell you how much I think a trip to Vegas is worth:rotfl2:
