Has anyone used Randy's on the list?

The reason I ask is that for my 12 day trip they are $100 less then any of the other places.

$100 might not sound like that much but it for me that means something. I know I have to be there to receive the EVC and that I have to stay till they pick it up the day we leave. We are driving so that's not a problem and they promise to be to the resort within an hour of me calling to deliver and between 8:00 and 9:00 the morning we leave.

Thanks for any help!

Jane

Yep! We used Randy's in Nov.

Absolutely no problems at all. We arrived too late in the day for them to bring it out to PO-R that evening, but the guy was at our door first thing in the morning.
My DH is the one who was to use it, so the guy showed me how to dismantle it. (He was a bit of a male chauvanist, so it really 'ticked' him off when I got it first time!!!!);) :p It took no more than 5 mins (on a bad day!!) to load/unload to the van. It also fitted into the trunk of a taxi we used once.

I would highly recommend Randy's. They were much cheaper than Walkers or Medicare.

Thank you so much. I've used Care before but this is a first for Randy's but for the price I just couldn't pass them up. They said that since we are expecting to get in around 6:00 a.m. that they would deliver to me first. I just have to call when I get to the resort.

Makes me feel better to know others have used them :)

Anone have any idea why Randy's is less expensive that Walker or Care? Just curious ... I've used Walker a few times, but if the price is less with Randy's ... :).

I have used Randy's several times now and have been very pleased with their service.

We don't use an ecv (DD has her own whelchair), but all the posts I've read about Randy's have been good.
My thought about why they are less expensive than Walker and Care is that those are full-service Medical Equipment companies, while Randy's has just a niche in the scooter rental business. Having you be there when they drop it off and pick it up probably also means they get less damage (it's not sitting un-attended in a lobby or luggage storage someplace for many hours). Since they show you how to use, take it apart and re-assemble it, they probably have less damage there too. Those things might also transplate into lower insurance costs.

Good thought Sue. I didn't think of insurance and less damage because of all the little stuff.

I use the ECV at disney I've got RA and Fibro. At home I normally just use my cane and take it easy. I'm fighting the fight from being in an ECV or wheelchair full time :) Might give in one of these days but for now its slow and steady like the Tortoise.
