I just want to thank everyone for all their advice before we left for Disney.

Randy's Mobility is awesome and I really like their ECV's. They aren't plastered with stickers so most people don't realize you're in a rental.

I had absolutely no trouble with the ECV it ran all day and late into the night with no problem. I had an Amigo and it was very easy to back into tight areas.

We did have some bus problems at CBR. Three times we were left sitting through at least one bus and once through 2 buses before they got one to us that was handicap accessable.

I personally hate the new buses. On turtle most ECV's don't have the power to get up the ramp, and when you turn up from turtle you bang into stuff :(

I much prefer the older buses even the ones that are very tight getting the EVC onto.

If anyone rents from Randy's tell him Jane Hollon said his company was the greatest! He was so easy to work with coming just when he said he would both on delivery and pick up.

Thanks again for all the great help! Sue, Talking Hands, Chip and Dale and to all the others I can't seem to remember THANK YOU!!!!

Jane, glad to read your trip went pretty well with the rented ECV from Randy's. Is Randy's the company that requires the guest to be present when the ECV is delivered & picked up? Thanks.

Yes, Randy's does require you to be present when they deliver. I used them in 2000, but, will try another company this year. (Long story). I will use Randy's again for our trip next year though. They are great!

Daisimae :smooth:

Yes, Daisimae is right you have to be available for them to deliver the ECV. But. they start delivery and pick up at 8:00 a.m. and will deliver as late as I think 8:00 p.m.

Daisimae, I hope you have a good trip this time. I'm sold on Randy's, I hope your trip this time doesn't have any ECV problems :)

Just reserved from Randy's. They were the only company to answer my emails and they called within hours. QUESTION about the Amigo scooter. He said they can not get wet? He said none of the scooters can get wet, but the other websites say they can get wet. What do you do when caught in a downpour? Also can you just park them under cover and go do other stuff. Or do you have to keep them within eyesight or lock them up?

I kept a poncho in the basket and when it rained put it over me and the scooter. As long as you don't run through big puddles and keep the electronics covered you are fine.

I also took someone elses suggestion and brought a shower cap from home to go over the electronics.

When you pick up tell Randy I said he was awesome. I'm seriously looking at a Amigo for here at home.

Thanks! I went with Randy because he answered my email. I emailed all the other company's yesterday AM and still have not heard back from them. Does not tell me much about customer service!

I had the same experience. And Randy's was so helpful. Also there scooters aren't covered with rental signs. The other places are covered with ads.
