I am thinking about hiring Randy to do a photo shoot of us at the Polynesian area as we are having our wedding dinner at Ohana, there are only 8 of us. I also believe that Wishes will be on round about the same time and I thought they would make some gorgeous photos. Can anyone tell me approx how much Randy charges? Thanks :thumbsup2

Hi!

Yep I have booked Randy his 3 hrs package which is what most ppl on here seem to get is $575.00 and he gives you the high res cd to take back home so you can print them off as many times as you want! which is great! :thumbsup2

Good luck with your choice if you need anymore info give me a shout

He seems really friendly over the phone and has answered all our questions me and df love his pics of all the other brides on here. :goodvibes just hope ours turn out as well!

Nicci

Brilliant, thanks for that Nicci.

What a wonderful price and to think I was going to pay $800 for the MK package. Also the plus of getting the hi res CD is excellent.

I am so excited now lol, need to get on the phone to him this afternoon and get him booked.

Hi

I have also looked in to getting Randy to come and take some pics of us during Wishes. He is doing the 3 hour package for us in the morning and I have asked him to come back for an hour (costing an extra $200) at 10.00pm. I initially suggested the Poly beach but he said The GF Marina may be better. Personally I'll leave it up to him but I would also love pics during Wishes. Let me know how you get on!

Thanks Caitlin. I will see what he says when I phone him. It was just the fact that we are at the Poly but if he feels that we would get a better photo from the GF then so be it.

I still can't believe the price he charges, it's fantastic. Photographers in the UK would take around £2000 which is about $3000-3500 for the same package that Randy offers.

Tell me about it. My brother got married last year here and he spent a fortune on pics and he doesn't even have the right to them. Plus they are all posed shots, I prefer Randy's style by far. I'm trying desperately to get him to answer my email though about swapping my wedding date to Aug 20th from Aug 17th, I really need to know whether he is available at 10.00am on the 20th instead. I may have to call him when I get home also.

I have just noticed you are from Scotland too Caitlin, forgive me for not noticing sooner but I am having a melt down in work today and I am about to scream lol. This board is what is keeping me slightly sane. Where in Scotland are you?

I like Randy's style as well, they are all so very natural looking. I don't particularly like having my photograph taken so I think this will be perfect for me.

I hope you can manage to get him to change your date as it sounds as if your heart is really set on him. Mine is as well now. Just phone him from work and get the boss to foot the bill lol. ;)

I wish I could do that;) . To be honest I will not move my date if I cannot get Randy, he is that good:thumbsup2 and I have seen loads of pics to prove it.
I live in Aberdeen, but only for the next 18 months or so, cause we are moving to Australia:woohoo: We have found living here really expensive. I always knew however that I wanted a Disney Wedding and it is so unbelievable that it is costing much less than what it would have cost to get married here:confused3

lol you sound so much like me it's scary. I think if I can't get Randy then I will be thinking about my wedding date as well. Mind you, I still haven't been able to book it as for the Wedding Pavilion you can only book it 8 months in advance, so another 3 weeks to go and hopefully it will all be finalised.

Most of my DF family lives up in the Aberdeen area. Moving to Australia, what a great adventure, you must be so excited. It is very expensive to live here and you get ripped off left right and centre.

I feel the same about a Disney wedding. It is just a dream come true. If we did a wedding here it would cost us at lease £20,000.

Hiya was just wondering if you know how far in advance you can book him, after reading all the reports on him I really want him too.

I am from scotland too and also cant believe how much cheaper it is going to be to get married in florida than it would over here.

Congrats on your weddings and good luck for the move.

Hi Laura, congrats on your up and coming wedding. I am afraid I can't answer your question on Randy as I am only just starting to look into it myself but hopefully someone will be along shortly who will be able to help. It's great to hear another Scottish person on the boards. :goodvibes

well, we booked him Sept '06 for our vow renewal in Dec '07 as we too were desperate to get him.
We still haven't had our date confirmed by Disney (another 3 weeks to go:scared: ) so we gave Randy both our 1st and 2nd choice dates and paid him $400 deposit (this is double the norm as he's had to pencil out 2 dates until we know which one).

That is a good idea, I assume you are not losing some of that deposit though for booking two dates or will it be used towards your final costs.

nope, and the good thing is that we have less to pay out on the day:)
I really can't tell you how much I'm looking forward to letting him know when we finally get our date confirmed!

Thats really good think I will do that, with booking everything in the uk its probably a really good Idea to have a few dates in mind anyway cause my family want to book their flights and accomodations as soon as they can but I keep worrying that I wont get the date I want. and yeah it is one less expense to worry about if you can get it out of the way early

Yeah its all very exciting, I am really excited and I have to wait ages so you must be beside yourself.

Just realised we have been chatting to each other about practically the same thing but on two different threads, oops.

Thanks for that Dee. I planned on contacting him last night but the evening just got away from me. I will phone him tonight and see what he has to say. I am hoping that we don't need to change our date of the 18th December :sad2: but like you we can't officially book for another 3 weeks. I don't mind having to pay the large deposit either, as you say, its less to pay nearer the day and for peace of mind you at least know you have him booked. ;)

I called Linda last night and Randy is available for my change of date (20th of Aug) YAY!!! I told Linda that I wasn't going to move my date unless I had Randy, I am that set on him.:lmao:
I booked Randy at 11 months out. We just paid in full as it seemed easier and now I would have had nothing left to pay him except I decided to get him to come back and do more photos during Wishes at The GF Marina:love:

WTG Caitlin I am so pleased for you. At least that's another thing off you mind and you can concentrate on something else now. :wizard:

I filled out the form on his website this morning. Do they tend to call you back or email you?
