Randy Chapman Preview Album- How big are these?

I have to be honest with you Mag, I HOPE my VR turns out 1/10th as good as your wedding was!! Your photos were the ones that made my mind up to use Randy and I think I read at one point that you were unhappy how something turned out regarding the way you looked? You absolutely looked drop dead gorgeous!! Your DH is very lucky!! I just can't say enough about how great your photos turned out! Like I said, if Randy can make ours look 1/10 as magical as yours, he's worth EVERY penny!!

 My whole hair and makeup fiasco was what I was unhappy with.

Thank heavens for Randy Chapman!! Seriously-- our photos are so great I cant believe what a great photographer he is! Ive pushed him a lot here on the boards but its because his work is just that good--i couldnt imagine people making the wrong decision and going with someone else just due to lack of knowledge!! He's obviously the way to go-- and ive not heard one bad review of him ever!! Which is really something to be said, especially with picky people these days!!

I appreciate your kind words-- but really, Randy could take phenomenal photos of just about anything!!
Tell him I said hello!!

you should be getting referral kick backs from him, considering all the business you throw his way?!;)

I would love to use him, but DH already thinks $3k for a VR is to much...if I try to add extras, I might push him over the edge & he might try & nix the whole deal:eek:

Haha-- referral kickbacks huh:scratchin (Im only kidding-- trust me-- I dont get anything for it nor do I want anything-- I am just so happy with the way everything turned out for us!).

If you do end up having a little extra money (Income tax, stop smoking, etc)... I would definately throw it toward that. I didnt think DH would go with it either but I expressed great interest and now, hes really glad he trusted me on it!! Either way everything will turn out perfect for you! GL:thumbsup2

Chiming in for Randy - we had the 6 hour pkg and ended up with 1900 pics - he was awesome!!!! We loved our pics!!!! I would totally fly him wherever we are to do our pictures if I could afford it - seriously!!!

I'm so glad I have booked Randy for our Wedding, because of his amazing reveiws I'm even considering getting him to come back at night to take more pics at The GF Marina during Wishes. I really hope I do get some black and white shots, I absolutely fell in love with those pics in everyones packages. I must admit I also love the special effect shots, so I'm hoping for the extra Disney magic on my Wedding Day.

I agree, Maggie should be on his payroll!! I also decided to book him after looking at her pictures! They were all so beautiful!

I'm pretty sure that if you take the disc into Boots they can print any photo (even taken in colour) in Black & White or even sepia.

Thanks Holly-- thats so sweet of you. He deserves good business though-- once you meet this man you will know what I mean!;)

Maggie,
I haven't said anything on this thread, so I am guessing your thanks is for one of three reasons. A.) You had the wrong name. B.) He emailed you after I told him how much and how highly you speak of him (which is all well deserved!). C.) I am the one mistaken and you could be talking to another Holly. I rarely come across anyone with that name, so when I see it I assume it is me. I will say you are the reason that I looked at him in the first place. I love his photography, and his personality is great. He is a very laid back easy going type of guy. I like that about him. I can't wait to meet him in person. Hopefully, I can do a little meet and greet when I go for my planning session. BTW, he speaks highly of you too. ;)

Yes-- he e-mailed me saying that you spoke highly of me. I really appreciate your kind words. Sometimes the biggest boosts in life are those which you dont hear first person-- but someone tells you about. You are so sweet.

This is generally true, but if I may, I would like to offer you all some advice on this.
Generally, "High Street" printers such as Kodak, Jessops, Boots etc will not produce the quality of print that your photos truly deserve.
Professional photographers use dedicated printing laboratories that will produce printed images that are a massive amount better than you will get through the regular outlets, using higher quality papers, longer-life [archival] quality products that should extend the life and colour of the prints.

Black & White conversion carried out by the photographer will generally be far better than trying to use an automated process on a High Street machine. The conversion done professionally will involve a series of processes to maximise the quality, contrast, brightness and detail whereas the High Street option simply desaturates (removes colour) which can be flat in appearance and not a true reflection of what the original photographer intended.

I hope these points help, I am not trying to promote my own wedding photography or anything, but to just offer some impartial advice to help you all get the most out of the fabulous photographs that you will get from Randy or Disney or in fact, whoever you choose. I am a Disney Groom and a Pro Photographer and am absolutely more than happy to offer advice to anyone planning a fabulous FTW.

Rascal1003:

I would like to ask your pro advice.

DF and I are planning a DFTW and are considering buying Randy's second FTW package which is unlimited proofs and 7 hrs photography. We were considering then taking the digital photos and creating our own photo album through iPhoto, which would print through MyPublisher. We figure the quality of the digital photos will make for a good book thru this method.

Although Randy's library bound book is surely beautiful, the extra expense is not what we budgeted.

Do you think our plan will produce favorable results? :confused3

I have been trying to get hold of Randys prices, does anyone know where I can get this info as cant seem to find it on his inet site.
