Yes, that was just the standard 3 hour intimate package. Randy guarantees at least 150 photos with the intimate package but you can get more. We had 411 proofs after Randy went through all the shots he took. He removes any blurry shots or closed eye shots, so the 411 is what was left. Some brides get more photos than that and some get less, but with the intimate, the guarantee is at least 150 which I would have been perfectly happy with since last December the DPS package only included 12 prints and the upgrade to the Ariels package which cost just about the same as Randys intimate package would have only given us 40 shots.

Reading this thread has completely convinced me to try to book Randy for my custom in October. Could someone post the address of his website? With all the praise he receives here I want to get him before he is taken on my wedding day!

Congratulations on your recent wedding!

I did worry about taking all the photo's home - was your luggage allowance 2 or 4 cases for the 2 of you?

We flew with American Airlines. We were able to check 2 bags each - i think the weight is 50lbs per bag.

So all the photos were done and ready for you to take home when you left? I saw on his site about paying extra for shipping and handling and I wondered if getting them during the week we will be there after the wedding was an option.

Karen~ I got mine before I went home too, but I got married in early December and Randy was going away soon after and also figured that we would want the photos to make Christmas cards from, which we did. We were in Disney for 7 days after our wedding and on day 6 Randy brought them to us. That is not his normal procedure though. He does do that for international brides because of the shipping and duty fees involved if he mails them. One bad thing about that though, is if he gives you your CD before you go home, then he doesnt upload your photos to his website which makes it hard to share with friends and family. You have to upload them yourself to another site in order to share them or email them to everyone and its way too many pix to email!

I feel like I'm so behind schedule and I should already know this stuff. But is Randy Chapman a Disney photographer? When you got the package from Disney that included the photography packages is he one of the options? And if not how did you find out about him?

Randy Chapman is an outside vendor. If you choose to use DPS for your wedding photography you dont get to choose the photographer. One gets assigned for you.

I learned about outside photogs for my wedding on other Disney wedding planning boards.

When we met Randy I didn't now he was giving us an album. He also offered to add to his website although this wouldn't be all the pictures. It's not there as yet so I've emailed him.

For most brides Randy doesnt put up all the pictures on the website because there are so many. A friend of mine just got married and used Randy. There were 900 pictures up on his website but she received 1500 of them with her proofs.

-When the final album is done is that where he enters all the efects shown on the website?

Yes you do get to keep the proof album.
the effects would be in the final album but I was an intimate bride so I cant really answer questions on his larger packages. I got the proofs and the DVD with all the pictures taken, no album.

I have a really dumb question and you can probably help me out Maggimus; Randy's basic package of $575 includes the 3 hours coverage and 150 or more photos will go into the preview album and the compressed CD is included. With Package #2 for $1700 you get 7 hours coverage and prints of all photos with creative candids and formals, plus black & white. I say all of that to ask, in the basic package, does he do any special effects with the pictures or is it just the regular professional color photos?

I have to be honest with you Mag, I HOPE my VR turns out 1/10th as good as your wedding was!! Your photos were the ones that made my mind up to use Randy and I think I read at one point that you were unhappy how something turned out regarding the way you looked? You absolutely looked drop dead gorgeous!! Your DH is very lucky!! I just can't say enough about how great your photos turned out! Like I said, if Randy can make ours look 1/10 as magical as yours, he's worth EVERY penny!!
