They're trying to cancel it though, I believe.
I guess we'll just have to wait until the episodes end in December. If Chowder still gets high ratings then maybe they'll continue it.
I've never seen some show called Flapjack. It starts in the UK on June 1st. How is it, and is it worth watching?
just think of it this way George
Cartoons are just like other TV shows - they're contracted to run for a specific number of seasons, or the number of seasons is determined by how successful the ratings are.
Even with the most successful shows, there is a "magic number" for reruns and syndication. After a sit-com reaches 100 episodes, it can be syndicated to other channels, or run in daytime or early evening slots.
Similarly, with a cartoon such as "Cow and Chicken" or "Billy & Mandy", once they reach a certain number of episodes, they can rerun the cartoon indefinitely without kids realizing that they're seeing the same episodes again and again.
Not only are repeats cheaper for the networks, but the creators and animators can then create a new cartoon show, while still getting paid for the repeats of the first one. So it generates more money for the network and for the show's producers and creators.
It's probably too expensive for CN to keep making a particular cartoon past the 5th or 6th season, as each season gets more expensive. They don't have the same budget as Fox, to keep the Simpsons on for 20 years.
and Flapjack was rather odd. i really never got into it but my cousins love it.![]()
Chowder hasn't even finished it's second season yet... And overall, there'd be 49 episodes.
WHEN???GHI is gonna track the ghost of Hitler!
