Some study we looked at in Psychology involved the fluency of English in primary school students. They looked at the performanced of students in English, Maths and Science who were grouped as:
1. New to English.
2. Familiar with English.
3. A confident user with English.
4. Fully fluent with English.

There was a strong link in the performance in test scores and the fluency of the language.

Groups 1-3 make little progress in English.

Someone fully fluent in English has a better performance than someone who only speaks English.

When the student's background is taken into account, test scores are still rather low.

Less fluent speakers (1&2) make less progress than those who only speak English but fully fluent speakers make more progress than expected.

Today I thought "When I'm in college..." then I realized that I'll be in college year after next. It's kind of a scary thought.

Was it really 6 years ago that I was just 10 years old and thinking "In just 6 years, I'll be 16 and able to drive!"?

Hey, this iCarly referenced the episode with David Archuleta, and Nick UK left in hobknockers... Well actually, Sam said "he'd be hobbing and knocking" or something like that. A bit shocked they kept it in because they took out every mention of hobknockers.

Hah, they made fun of Britney shaving her head. Instead, it was some singer who was caught shampooing her hair with blue cheese dressing.
