They have poverty, but so does China. I believe China has about 200 million people in poverty. Oh, 700 million people don't have access to clean water as well... I might be wrong on those because I got them from some fact thing that's a few years old.

So they can still be superpowers even though the average person is poor? Didn't know that.

One definition of a superpower is 'a superpower must be able to conduct a global strategy... to command vast economic potential and influence and present a universal ideology'. This definition emphasises:
The global nature of superpower status
The economic power of superpowers
The political and cultural viewpoint or vision that a superpower projects onto the world.

Bollywood? It makes the most movies in the world every year. I believe it also has the second largest standing army in the world. There's tons of call centres in India. My Geography teacher tells us all her negative experiences with those call centres. It's funny. Anyway, it has potential to be a superpower in the future.
