Sorry I missed you, Rich. Hope you have a good night!

You can! I don't make anything fancy. Most of my food is quite simple since that's what the family likes to eat. I do like to experiment from time to time. I pull out recipes from magazines and get ideas from cooking shows.

evenin' Randomites!

HARA can come cook for us anytime though! (we just won't share w/ the family..........it would give them unrealistic ideas.........& that would be irresponsible parenting
)

Hi there!
joining at nite again! do you ever sleep.........up at 5:30 & bed at 11...........I'd be very sleepy!
I will be happy to do so! Don't want any trouble with the kids!

I just changed jobs about 3 months ago.........went from working 10-11 hr days w/ 1-2 hrs of phone calls a nite to now getting home everyday at 4:30p,Mr. PAD was doing all of the cooking for years..........I just took it over.......so I am literally 'learning how to cook' & I haven't killed anyone yet!![]()
I am tired all of the time. It's part of my life. The only day I sleep in(till 7) is Saturday.

Hi! I'm catching up on the day's randomness..........how was your day?
me too........I'm usually up about 6:30 or so........DH does a lot in the AM, I get PM duties............& I (used to go to bed around 11ish) now w/ this thread not till well after 11.............![]()
Well good for you!! My DH doesn't cook. My DD is a pastry chef. I grew up with my Mom or Dad doing the cooking. There are some wonderful cooking shows on PBS and Food Network. Many are for beginners.
I forgot, are you in the same time zone as me?
I do like to watch the cooking shows on both those networks.........one of my favorites was PBS & what the difference was in the cut of beef........big cow w/ a diagram.........that's my kind of teaching (told you just learning!)
That's America's Test Kitchen. I really like that show. Jacques Pepin has a wonderful series, also available on dvd, that is all on cooking techniques and basics.
basic that's me! I always told my hubby that I would never cook......(& I didn't for 13 yrs!) but now it just makes sense for me to do it........I'm surviving!
OK, time to get back to work so I can try to get into bed by 11.
Great posting with you Pad!!

good nite! it was good to post w/ you too!![]()
