1. DCA closes at 8pm and WOC is at 8:45pm. How does this work? My husband will arrive just in time for the show. Does he need to get into the park before 8pm?

2. Is the Toontown Citizenship ceremony only offered during Toontown Madness Mornings?

3. How long is the Jedi Training Academy? If it starts at 12:40 and I want to do lunch at Ariel's Grotto right after that, what time should I plan on for lunch?

Yes he needs to be in the park by closing. But 8:45? I have not heard of WOC that late after park closing. Which night is it?

Yes.

JTA lasts 20-30 minutes. I would say AG at 1:30.

We just got back last week and I had the same question as you in reference to WoC. I was told by a cast member that if the park closes at 8, then you need to be there by that time as they would not be letting anyone else in after that time for the show.
:worried:

Argh! OK. Thanks for the help!

I'm looking at Thur May 24 for WOC.

He's going to be leaving Las Vegas around 2-3PM that day. The map says 4.5 hours, but I'm worried that he'll hit rush hour traffic in the evening and there really isn't any wiggle room. Anyone have experience making that trip at that time that can offer advice?

Eek I didn't realize he was coming from Vegas! How were you planning to watch WOC anyway? He won't be able to get a Fastpass and you won't be able to get one for him since his ticket won't be activated. The only way you could watch together would be to buy picnic meals for everyone and hope that he makes it in time, but to be honest it's going to be a "hope for the best, prepare for the worst" scenario in that he might not make it in time.

Schedule a 5p flight. He'll land around 6, make it to DLR by 7p. (Southwest fares usually run about $60 for that trip, which is probably less than the gas he'd spend.) ;)

Sorry, not the answer you were looking for, but I've done that drive and its one of my least favorites ... well driving through desert almost always is ...

Ugh I agree. Worst.Drive.Ever.

I assumed since I would have his ticket that I could get him a FP. And then figured if I couldn't that he'd just be able to join us wherever we ended up. It's supposed to be a super low crowd day (so touringplans says--a 2 out of 10 on crowd levels according to them), so I figured if he could get there in time that we would wing it on how we'd manage the viewing. That was before I realized that the park closed so much earlier, though!

Unfortunately that's definitely not how WOC viewing works. First of all, even of you have his ticket, it would have to be swiped BY HIM at the front gate to work for the day, so no luck there. You can't get passes for him. Also, the viewing areas are policed. They are roped off and each person entering must have a separate pass for the proper color to enter. He wouldn't be able to just walk up and join you. And even if it's not a crowded day, with only one show, the show will likely be full.

Here is what I did when in a situation like yours.

I went to get my ticket, but first asked a CM at the kiosks what I could do since one member of my group wouldn't be at the park until after work. They said put your tickets in and tell me what color you get. So I got in the line and a minute later we had yellow and I told and she hand made an extra show pass for yellow.

It was simple and painless. As a back up I was going to get a picnic to get the late arrival's show pass, but I didn't need to.

Ooh very cool of them! Definitely try that!
