I bought an AP popcorn bucket when they were having a promotion for $1 refills. That promo has ended. If I bring the bucket with me Tom tomorrow, does anyone how much would it cost to fill it up? It's nice to use since it has a lid.

They won't sell you a refill. You'll need to buy a carton of popcorn (I think it's $4.25 or thereabout) and then pour it into your bucket yourself. The bucket holds about 1.5 cartons of popcorn.

Good to know! They sell regular souvenirs buckets right? Is there any cost savings there or should I just buy a few cartons?

There are usually two types of souvenir buckets; there is the round one (in the $6.25 range, I think) and the premium bucket (+$12, varies by bucket). The round bucket is the same size as the AP one; the premium bucket varies depending on the container.

Thank you! I wonder how much more popcorn there is in the souvenir bucket compared to the carton. I guess I'll find out if I use my old one and buy it by the carton.

The last time I did this, the round plastic bucket fit about 1.5 cartons of popcorn (give or take depending on how much the CM packed into the carton). The new buckets, while shorter are wider, so they hold the same volume as the old (taller, but narrower) buckets.

I loved that $1 refill promotion, so
did my kids. And I'm a popcorn bucket collector, interested to see which designs we find!

Me too! I didn't get to the participate in the summer offer (the bucket sure looked cute!).

Two weekends ago, there were only two round designs: the Guardians of the Galaxy one in DCA and Sorcerer Mickey "Painting" with waterfall (I really though it looked like something that was for WoC). My guess is that one (or both) will be gone once HalloweenTime starts (hopefully they'll have a new Halloween design!). The premium buckets that I saw were limited to the red Mickey Balloon and McQueen.

Oh man, we did too! My kid is a popcorn-aholic. I must have filled that bucket 15 times.

Just to report, I took my old bucket and filled it myself. A carton of popcorn is $4.25 and a regular souvenir bucket is $8.50. I bought two cartons for $8.50 and I would say a bucket holds about 1.25 cartons of popcorn... it's not really much more than a carton surprisingly! So it was a better deal to buy two cartons... more popcorn and I definitely don't need another bucket ha ha.
