Random Pixie Dust Question

Normally I sneak into our room just after it's ready for check-in, and decorate the room with stuff that I've brought, and always leave a note from Tink that welcomes my daughter back.

This year I wanted to include some 'pixie dust' in the envelope. Would I just use glitter? If so, is there a specific color or anything?

We always use yellow sugar. It can be found in the baking department of the store. We use it in the parks not the room

Yeah, I wouldn't do it in the room where there's a potential for it to make a mess that housekeeping would have to clean up.

I'd get very fine holographic/iridescent glitter. You can find small tubes of it that is made to go on stamping projects. I would put only a very small amount in the letter so not to make a mess.

For something a little easier to clean up I'd look for those confetti packets they sell for birthdays. The ones you sprinkle on the tables for decoration. They are shiny and different colors and they have various designs. I'm sure you could find ones with little stars or something along those lines.

What fun! Just take a lint roller to use for clean up. No biggie.

They are shiny and different colors and they have various designs. I'm sure you could find ones with little stars or something along those lines.

I think this is a better idea. These are at least able to be picked up, while glitter would have to be vacuumed, and even vacuuming might not get it all.

Would all of these be allowed in carryon luggage? Just wouldn't want the card/substance to get confiscated.

Why would it get confiscated? It's not liquid or a weapon (or something that could be used as a weapon.)

Cute Idea... If your daughter loves Tink... When we went I found a shadow of Tink in Google Images. I carefully cut it out and put it under a lighted lamp in our room while she was at the pool with her Daddy (Mickey and Friends decorated the room while 'we' were out...)

When we got back I was all like: OMG Tink forgot her shadow!!!

We took it to the park the next day and we met Tink. Tink was SOOOO happy to get it back and my daughter totally loved 'helping' her out. It was a great moment... Tink even did this little dance-step to get it to stick back to her feet.

Years ago - sometime in the 90's - DW used some Mickey head shaped shiny confetti for the kids presents and it got everywhere. Years later - I'm still finding a piece every now and then. And you never know where in the house it'll show up. It's like we have our own hidden mickeys.

This is sooooo very true. Before I met my husband he had some glitter stars in a small side board. We have moved it 5 times across 4 states and we still find stars!!!!
