a peanut feels pretty large when you step on it in the dark.

Smiley, I know what you mean. Cole is going into 8th grade, how to juggle a little time away when it's not a zoo.:faint:

just imagine stepping on an elephant, or worse yet...the moon!

DS will be in the 8th grade when we go on our next cruise. I am thinking it will be the last time we can take him out of school for family vacation. The following fall he'll be in high school and it will be much more difficult for him to miss a week or so of school!

HS will be rough, hard to get assignments from so many teachers, though middle school is probably similar. My school always excuses the KIDS for vacation, as an educational experience, but they do not feel the same for the staff. We (elementary) will not send work with the kids, though. We stockpile it while they are gone, but won't send any in advance.

How much do I need? I would hate to be a lousy hostess.

well I am not a beer drinker, but I'll take a few of those drinks with the umbrella. And a cabana boy!! Oh, ohhhh!! On the Disney cruise I ordered a fruity little drink on Castaway Cay! (a Konk Cooler). Well, I was out in the ocean, on a floaty, and I had my eyes closes. Well, the waiter saw me out there and HE BROUGHT THE DRINK OUT TO ME, he was up to his shorts in water!! Now THAT is what I call service!! Oh to be there right now........

Very COOL! We will be the comando style, matching shirt wearing group, holding the color-coded trip detail plan.........No maclaren or baggallini though---DH tricked out a stroller for both the boys & I have a cute Mickey Head bag......LGMH will be attached....crocs perhaps, no fanny pack though (DH & DS11 said NO WAY):lmao:

wow, just wow... I have finally found my match! :lmao: :rotfl2:

surfing the DIS is exercise too, isn't it?? ISN'T IT????

DCT, you've never lived in the country were your water came from a wall, have ya.:lmao: No power = no water = no flushie:laughing:

I live in the country and my water comes from a well. Not a wall. :rotfl2: :rotfl2: :rotfl2: And a storm is approaching I fill the tub. No power=no water=no flushie. With a full tub it does!! :thumbsup2

Just thought a timely reminder might be in order as we hit page 225. Later we will all be moving over to the new spot. I am sorry to tell you that the airline is now charging for baggage, so leave that here. I moved the lights already though, so it won't be dark when we get there.

we are on page 203, but I didn't want to lose my newfound skill for lack of practice, so here is the linky to part two.
I will need help with the leg lamp, Coles1mom!

randomness, part 2

shall we finish up the next 40-something pages first, or pack up now?

I think we may have to move tonight. Thank goodness the lights are on, because it is really dark outside!:cloud9:

Just a question for you guys...do any of your children suffer from cold hives?? DD does, she gets hives all over the parts of her body that is exposed to cold....water, air etc. It is truly something to see. I feel so bad for her when we go swimming, the beach or water parks, if the water is anything but warm she gets covered in hives...she is at the age now where she notices them and that no one else gets them...she is really good about it, but I just feel for her. :(

The DR. says that her body reacts to decreases in body temps like that...it also lowers her blood pressure, so she could get into trouble if she stayed in unheated water for too long, or in cold air. He also said that it can happen when commng into an air conditioned area after being out in the heat, just that amount of change could bug her.

Thanks for hearing me out!!

aww poor sweetie! I have no advice for you but  I have kids at work come into the office when it's really hot out and they get the hives due to the heat! I always feel for them too!

I don't suppose you booked your airfare already for the December cruise, DCT? Prices are making me gulp, and we are only coming from PA.

I have never heard of this. I hope it is something that she has a chance of out growing.

so, smiley,
what is it like to have four nearly man sized boys in your house?
Do any of them know how to change the TP roll?

My DS is a sweetie, but DS12 gives me a run for my money, daily.

She loves to hold up two outfits, and ask me which one she should wear. NO matter which one I pick, she gives me a "huff" and chooses the other. I started telling her I am not playing, since I have no fashion sense, apparently. But she whines.........."help me! I don't know which one to pick"

It is enough to make me spike my hot tea in the AM!::yes::
