Hoping someone can answer these questions for me...

We haven't stayed at the Beach Club since 1997, so I can't remember... is there outdoor seating at Beaches & Cream?

We had a change in plans, so DH is flying down a couple of days after the kids and I. Will his Dining Credits be activated when I check in?

Since DH won't be there to use his Dining Credits, if we book another TS meal, can we use 2 TS credits, and pay OOP for the kids or do they prefer one type of payment form... all cash or all on the DP?

Friends have booked the Gift Card Package... is it safe to assume that restaurants that accept the DP, will also accept the GC for payment and restaurants that don't participate in the DP, won't accept a Disney GC as payment?

Thanks.

There are a couple of (little) tables but they are for the use of persons ordering takeout ice cream, not for ordering food.

Yes.

You can use any payment method you like but make sure you tell the server right away who is using dining credits and who isn't so they can ring up the checks correctly.

I do not think it is safe to assume that in all cases but I have no general knowledge of which non-Disney-operated restaurants don't accept gift cards. Raglan Road, Planet Hollywood, Wolfgang Puck Cafe/Express and Earl of Sandwich are the ones I'd get confirmation on if possible before planning to take the whole group there.

Thanks so much.

Two more questions -

Traveling with a friend... very picky eater - Do you know if they have a Shrimp Basket at Columbia Harbour House? I see it listed on the menu at the allears site, but not on the menu on this site.

In your opinion, is it worth it to use 2 TS credits for California Grill, or should we pay OOP at Cali, and use the credits at two, 1 credit restaurants? Trying to figure out which is a wiser use of money/credits.

You most certainly can eat food at the little tables at Beaches and Cream. People do it all the time. :)

The best use of points and cash is to avoid California Grill at all costs.

Food from the restaurant? can you sit out there and order food and they bring it to you? Those tables are really small. I haven't ever seen anyone there ordering food.

Beaches & Cream;

Stayed at BC the last 3 visits...

The waitstaff don't "man" the little tables outside....we've sat there waiting for family to bring our ice cream cone...the tables are for convenience only....they are just like the little tables & chairs at the old ice cream soda shops...

I suppose you could order inside and bring food outside? OR Get "TOGO" (although Im not sure this is offered still...we ordered "to go" from B&C the first year of dining plan and it was ...but this may have changed...)

CALI GRILL: I have never been... but due to Great REviews on here.. DS18 and I are going and will pay OOP....in May...

I just decided to do OOP there because...we may just get Sushi and appetizers (Goat Cheese Ravioli?)..and I didn't want to be tied down to the HUGE meal that TS offers....

So - IMHO...if you're not a BIG EATER...then I think Cali Grill might be cheaper to do OOP....

HUGS,
Mary

Personally, I would price out California Grill vs 2 1TS restaurants using the allears.net dining menus. Estimate what you would get at both, and then see which is cheaper.

Yes, there's a shrimp basket now at CHH. I had it a few weeks ago and was pleasantly surprised how good it was. Nothing major, mind you, but quite acceptable for counter service food at the MK.

Not from the restaurant.Maybe from Hurricaine Hannahs grill. But those tables are for take out icecream .No wait staff out there, and you can't get food from the to go window.I suppose you could go inside get seated, order food, and then ask the waitress to box up the meal to go eat it outside, but I think that is more trouble than its worth

Yes, it's changed - they no longer serve food at the carryout area. Just drinks and ice cream (no specialty sundaes).

I was pretty sure the OP wanted to know if they could sit outside and order from the restaurant, not if they were allowed to eat food at the tables in general.
